To make many kinds of bread, you form a dough ball and run that through a machine with two large rollers that force most of the air out then roll that dough cake into a loaf shape. Today, I caught my hand in the rollers. I am currently in the hospital awaiting treatment.

All is well it appears, thank you all for your concern. It's kind of funny, as soon as I said that, the treatment actually started and I had to disappear. Alanis Morisette is my patron saint, Our Lady of Inconvenient but Unironic Events. Looks like I'll be fine though and able to return to work in about two days. I won't be able to do some of my tasks, but my manager and I should be able to make things work. I was very afraid, but now I'm not. Just embarrassed because I hate looking like an attention seeker and had a panic attack on the forum lmao

I'm glad to hear you're okay! It sounds pretty awful.

I gave myself a kitchen knife cut last Monday and was just a huge baby about it. It clotted up by the time I got to the ER. And the doctor just looked at it and said "Nah, it's fine." I remember calling people up and trying to downplay it while I was really just a ball of anxiety.

It sounds like you stayed far more composed than I would have. There's never anything wrong with reaching out for comfort. I do hope you don't go around punching bread machines anymore. Although, if you need some backup - let us know. I'll bring a bicycle chain and a socket wrench. That dough roller won't see it coming.
