This turns out to be both exhausting and largely uneventful. Aesop is lagging behind, you're getting worn out, and Cottontail is getting more irritable. "You sure this is the best way, Lag?" he asks. You can't help but note the accusatory tone, but you just tell him that it carries the least risk, as long as you climb safely. He doesn't seem too impressed with your answer, but he stays quiet for the rest of the climb. After what feels like an hour, you finally reach a new plateau and rest. Well, you and Cottontail do; Aesop still hasn't caught up. "That damn lazybones," Cottontail grumbles. "Why'd we get stuck with him?" You remind him that Jack decided on the makeup of the squad. Cottontail just grunts, and glances up the mountain. "So are we just going to wait for that slacker? Or are we gonna keep going? We don't have a lot of time, you know." Cottontail raises a good point. You need to finish the mission quickly. On the other hand, you might need Aesop's help, and besides which, Jack would never let you live it down if anything happened to a rabbit under your command. So what will you do? Keep going? Wait for Aesop? Or go back down and see if he's in any sort of trouble?

He's probably in trouble. And it won't be as hard a climb the second time.
