These are barrels, actually. You remove the top off of one and find it full of water.
It's good to know you wont be going thirsty.

The next barrel is also full of water, but this one is very cold and has ice inside.

The final barrel contains an amber liquid that smells of honey. Looks like this is mead.

Start a card collection.



Another card, but still no indication of its purpose. This one features a sun.

E: Ah, Alchemist! Are you heading upstairs?
A: Yeah, I thought I'd check in with everyone.
E: Great. You know that treasure I mentioned?
A: The Nexus or whatever?
E: See, lotsa people say it was cursed, but you know.
E: Not much for superstition, so I grabbed it.
E: ...Buut that's not to say I'm entirely without caution.
A: What do you want?
E: I gave it to Questant to check out for me.
E: She's better with that sort of thing.
E: So if you see her ask if she's finished checking it for curses alright?
E: And bring it back down with you when you're done.
A: Hmm alright.
E: Thanks, buddy, you're the best.
E: Oh, right, Fighter, where were we...

Let's just meet everyone, get attached to them, and then become emotionally distraught when they all die and it turns out we killed them.

Grab the Moon Card and Coffee.



Before you climb any higher, you decide to go back to the first floor and get some things you might need. You put the Coffee in your Alchemy Bag, and place the card in your pocket with the other one.

Keep going upstairs.



As you begrudgingly climb the stairwell, you hear the sound of footsteps echoing as someone descends from the floor above. The Ronin meets you at the third floor.



R: Ah, Alchemist, there you are.
A: Ronin... Were you looking for me?
R: Yes.
R: Well, no.
R: Barbarian is looking for you.
R: Barbarian asked me to send you up to the eighth floor if I ran into you.
A: E-eighth? That's a lot of stairs... How many floors are in this tower?
R: Ten.
R: No, a basement too, so eleven.
A: I don't know if I can even make it that far...
A: See you later I guess.
R: Wait.
R: Are you headed into that room?
A: Ah, yeah, I figured I'd check things out on my way up.
R: This room isn't supposed to be used, apparently.
R: It is not lit, so be careful.
A: O-oh. Okay. I'll just take a look anyway.

Just as Ronin said, this room is filled with inky darkness. You can't make anything out.



a: Hey, spirit?
?: Whispering is a step up, but you don't have to worry about keepin your voice down in here.
A: Can you see in the dark?
?: Actually, supernatural vision is one of the few abilities I do posses...
?: But while I'm inhabiting someone's body, my powers are transferred to the body's owner.
A: Wait, so I can see in the dark?
?: Not just that, but you have the ability to see things that are normally invisible.
A: Like magic stuff?
?: More specifically, unnatural stuff. Things not of this world.
?: That said, we aren't very attuned right now. Looks like it's too dark.
?: Over time, our spiritual attunement will improve, and you'll be a pro at lookin at things.
A: Hmm okay. I'll try coming back later.
A: Or, you know. With a light.

Continue upstairs.



Leaving the dark room for now, you climb to the fourth floor and enter this floor's room. Gunslinger and Knight are chatting here with amused smiles. Looks like someone was playing a card game recently. Oh, and there's a closed door to the south.

Hey, soorry for the long break. =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪ ‧̣̥̇) I was really just daunted by drawing more characters and never felt like getting around to it. That said, luckily this adventure has a hard limit on characters, so once I've drawn them all once I'm mostly set! '∀'

Anyway, I'll try to update p regularly the next few weeks. Please yell at me if I don't.

It looks like some ghosts are playing cards here! Ah wait, nevermind. You focus on the cards and furniture here, and your eyesight becomes more acute, but nothing seems out of the ordinary.

This is a card game similar to Poker, played with a special deck of cards. You couldn't get the hang of it. Judging by the hands of cards left here, three people must have been playing.

Focus on the card on the ground.



It's another card like the ones you've been collecting. Despite its spooky appearance, you can't see anything special on this card. You still can't figure out what kind of game you would play with these.

(While this adventure looks nice, may I venture a small art critique ?

While I understand the use of templates to gain time, particulary if you have loads of characters, may I advise that you try to diversify the poses a little more, even the 'iddle' ones ?
I think the knight is like the first character whose legs are in a slightly different position than "feet turned inward, standing on the tip like a ballerina." By comparaison, it's very obvious when you look at say, the alchemist and the gunslinger side by side, that they are the same basic templte.
Now I know it's not a huge thing but with a stylized art style, pose is abut as important as anything else to convey personality and attitude.)

Examine the overturned chair.



Looks like it got knocked over after whoever was using it finished with their card game. You can't see anything unusual about it.

Look at the ceiling.



A lantern hangs from the middle of the ceiling. It doesn't look like there's any way you could reach it. Apart from the lantern, the ceiling is pretty unremarkable.

Check out the hot babes with spirit vision.



You focus your eyes on each of the girls, and your vision darkens as you look to Knight. A halo of unearthly light fills you with an unfamiliar oppressive sensation.



a: Ah! It's Knight!
a: Something weird is floating around her..
a: What do I do?? Should I tell someone?
?: Hm, this is a delicate situation.
?: This aura could be anything from a Curse to Demonic Possession.
?: We can't be sure if she's unaware of it, and telling someone could lead to any number of problems.
?: So my advice is to tread lightly...

K: Did you come to hang out with us?
A: Oh, h-hello...
K: Don't be shy, come have some fun!

G: Hehe we were, but we're waiting for Necromancer to get back.
K: Should be any minute now.
A: Ah.. Then where did Necromancer go?
G: Heheheh well...
K: Captain hates gambling you know. So we have to be creative to make the games more exciting.
K: We made it a rule that the loser--
G: Necromancer has to go kiss the Hero! Hahaha!
G: Can you imagine... someone like Necromancer doing that?
G: Dammit! I wish I had followed! My imagination is going crazy!
K: Haha. We'll just have to make our own fun in the meantime.
K: Are you going to stay a while, Alchemist?
A: I'm a little busy right now...

I don't know if you actually saw something on the ceiling (I couldn't find anything!), but it gave me an excuse to explain away forgetting to draw this room's lantern eheh. (´・ω・`)
