Current bandwagons are on active players, seemingly just because they're active. Meanwhile said bandwagoners are just voting to make sure someone dies (without even a basic suspicion or reason offered), and people are lurking in the BG without votes or comments, and a few remaining absentee players are getting a free pass for their shenanigans. I am also a bit miffed about all this. >:I

Biggest one now that Rob's out of their box is SinkingSailor, though I think that's another case of newer people feeling post-shy what with all the inquisitors psyching actives and such. And then there's nercania-orccelga.

If there's one bandwagon I'm staying on atm it's the day 1 is fake bandwagon.

My read was, is, and continues to be that both are town, with very different flavours of baiting out responses which people keep confusing for scum despite both clearly knowing what they're doing.

I think you'll get a lot more reads on the backseat drivers when you aren't making night-kill threats on fake day.

Short answer: I don't any more than the other reads I'm trying to make, but you're going out of your way to build a case based primarily on disliking your strategy of upping the stakes straight away AND openly posting about having a gun. It's a bit early for vigilante justice.

I dislike broadcasting scum reads this early. Coldblooded maybe, but I haven't seen enough to justify a hard lynch. I think they may be onto something with Nercania-Orccelga, but I want more from them especially after jumping off Spider as soon as the wheels were falling off.

Based on skimming what we've got so far what I've mostly got is that

1) Wheat's dog gimmick is kind of annoying but not in itself scummy? But death dog is really ominous and I'm not feeling comfortable with the bandwagon here especially with the bomb discourse floating around (though honestly I'm awful at mafia meta so I don't know whether that was just thrown out there as a hypothesis or a real risk o_O)

1a) is there a dog year?

2) There's items? And apparently most of them only have effects at nighttime? I've been looking at my Present and I haven't decided whether to open it or not. Does anyone feel like sharing what their presents did? I mean, tit for tat, if someone tells me I'll open mine. I just don't want to get blown up. Again. Bomb discourse.

3) I'm still not sure about Spoids, but it is a truism that being active should not equate to being scummy. Still, the impression I keep getting is a lot of words and not much in the way of content or reads? I guess that's what fishing is all about. Lookit me I'm fishing too

4) I'm really bad at meta

5) At this point in time I'm not convinced enough on any case to put a vote on someone but at the same time I don't want a no lynch? But The Meta always says that D1 lynches aren't useful? gahh i just want more information

Here's some information I've gleaned agen, you can decide if it's useful or not.

Spoids has a very very low chance of actually being a bomb and even if she were I doubt it'd go off if she were lynched.
The bomb suggestion was posed by CSJ in what looks to me like a veiled defense in order to get heat off of Spoids.
Both CSJ and Spoids have resorted to afk-hunting today which is one of those things people like to do to appear active without actually needing to scumhunt. (though in spoids' defense she has also been active with her debate with wheat)
CSJ considers me lynchworthy because I was the first person to post during Random Voting Stage. At first I thought this was supposed to be a trap and he was looking for people wanting to hop onto a bandwagon, but now it seems like this was his Actual Reason.
CSJ is also being very coy about committing to any scumreads, which is one of those things people do when they're worried about appearing consistent.

Given this stack I'm willing to commit a Vote: CSJ. If he flips scum Spoids is almost certainly scum too.

anyway im not actually interested in the semantics of day 1 crimes or dog crimes, and i think im going to vote: schazer because im a precious and good person

I haven't posted very much today! I should remedy that now that I have a minute free from grading papers. Looks like things are getting serious.

Wheat's up to the usual great Wheat shenanigans, which seems to have rubbed some people the wrong way. I think Wheat is doing a passable job communicating under their (I think) self-imposed dog constraint, so really it's a style issue. Spoids tried to force the issue with a vote, unvoted when satisfied with Wheat's response, and then re-voted for some reason? In general, nothing has leapt out at me as a scum tell, except for people starting to pile on votes without a whole lot of reasoning.

For 3+ votes on people, that points out to me awkwardcarapace, nercania-orccelga, Solaris, Sunspider, Mirdini and uhhh after that I start getting confused about the votals. Everything has been really chaotic in terms of votes, actually.

awkwardcarapace went for Nola because of not liking the Mirdini has a gun joke, which seems like it has now been understood.

nercania-orccelga went for Wheat for reasons??? What were those?

Solaris went for Wheat because "Bored." That doesn't seem great, when Wheat was actually getting close to soft lynch at that point!

Sunspider seems to just really hate the dog gimmick.

Mirdini has/had a "hunch" about Coldblooded. Can you say anything more about that, Mirdini?

wheat, while I also feel leery of lynching someone today (unlike in the days of yore, they cannot simply go play in another game), I don't get why you feel the need to stage a morality play to call people big bullying meanies who aren't as enlightened as you just for trying to play the game

we can just say "it feels better not to lynch someone today," d1 lynches might make people feel left out but I'd hardly say sarcastic theatrics make them feel included

anyways hey mirdini, you've been popping in and giving reads here and there, do you have the time to do anything more...comprehensive? I don't think I've seen you state any opinion about sunspider (or the very cute me), for example
