Neat, who wouldn't love a monster with dreadlocks?

The anti-aliased lines of the flowers clash with the soft brush you used for the monster person though, was that intentional?

She's my Orc demolitions expert/amateur Mage/directionless ecoterrorist, Harvestine.

The antialiasing was blatant "I dun wanna draw her torso" bullshittery. I guess I could've done aliased flowers but wanted them suitably separate from her portrait. So the clashing's intentional, if not to best effect.

And here's some butts from a while ago

I managed to do a full month of POKEDDEXY this year! It was two parts actual pixel art, one part traditional drawing, and four parts "drawing really small" (as best I can tell, pixel art needs a limited palette and I cheated with various multiply/luminosity layers). These were my favourites among the bunch:

Real question though: looking at the close-up shots on tumblr, it looks like a lot of these have interesting/usual textures - what materials did you use?

They're all just card stock. Most of them have this sort of gridded woven texture but a few have more interesting ones? Like the green on the trubbish, which is a sort of tree-like grain, the pachrisu's body which is thick watercolour paper, and the inkay which is semi transparent (and was a huge pain to cut). I do try to vary the textures on each piece so their different coloured parts look like they are in fact different materials. :>

I'm gonig to stop myself right here because i could go on about different paper types and textures for a very long time but basically yeah. Scrapbooking shops. Good places.

This thread still exists. I have done many a doodle in the year that has passed! Unfortunately dropbox is broken right now and doesn't want to give me any links. Blah.

Here's a sketch I did of Bychan Thiotimoline (née Forge), one of my noble space cat people. Along with Mimoko, his wife, they are leaders of the noble House Thiotimoline in the far future Galaxy Eridanus.

The Thiotimolines carry a strain of tainted blood that connects them to the Void through which all universes form, travel and die. It slowly drives them fucking insane. Bychan, on the other hand, doesn't have it, and he has to watch his wife and family degenerate before his eyes. Sometimes, life's just not worth the kitty treats.

Also there are a lot of broken links here. UNACCEPTABLE.

Tumblr changed a couple of numbers in where it stores its images and broke a shitload of them. A friend of mine had her blog banner broken that way :')
