Arcana [Continueing after all?]

Loyal citizens of the lands of Tarot, we bring thee grave news. The Dealer is dead. The Shuffler is dead. The exact details are unknown, but it includes mutual poisoning and decapitation. Our beloved Duarchy can not function without the Masters of Cards. We have to find two eligible heirs.

We are looking for 22 people to enter the trials. The two who will survive will become the new Shuffler and the new Dealer. May the best person win.

Inspired by this game by Archduke, Arcana will be played similarly. You will be divided into four groups, two groups of six, and two groups of five. These groups will be placed into four areas. Your task is to escape these areas, and enter the Arena in the middle. When everyone alive is in the arena, the final battle will begin. The two survivors will be the winners of the game.

The 22 of you will gain secret powers at the beginning of the game. Most of these powers can be used anonymously, but the more powerful ones might be obvious when cast. Everybody has three HP, which stands for HoPe. If you run out of HoPe, you die. Some minor attacks might only do half damage (getting punched, nibbled by a bat), but serious ones might do more (stepping on a mine, reading tomes of horror).

Will you backstab your allies to gain the ultimate prize? Or will you join forces and end the game with a Honorable Duel?

To join, choose a colour and a hat! The game will probably won't start until after Christmas.

I intent to start the filled groups separately, even when not all spots are filled. If I had the time for it, I would actually start them right now, but alas.

However, I am already planning things in advance, but things are going slowly. Roles are already randomized, and I have one room planned. If you are interested, I could tell you what your role is in PM, although the powers might be polished a bit later.
