Contextual Story Web

This old thing popped into my head recently. Basically, it works like this.

You sign up.
You draw a thing. Anything at all.
You send me a PM with what you drew, no accompanying text.
After everyone sends me a picture, I take all these pictures and try to write up a story that somehow fits them all into a single context.

So, who wants to sign up? I'll tentatively say 15 people, but I can probably take more if there's enough interest. Of course, if it works out there's probably going to be more than one of these.

SpoilerAll right, given the time this has taken, I'm posting what I've got. Maybe seeing the results will generate more interest in doing another.

Images are posted in the order I received them.

It was just another typical day, another typical assassination job. Or so I thought at first.

It was all going so well. My target barely even noticed me. I had plenty of time to ready my shot.

But then his friends showed up.

Thinking quickly, I beat a hasty retreat to my Fortress of Solitude.

But there was an ambush waiting for me when I arrived!

I had been set up! By none other than my own sidekick, the Bookworm! It was looking pretty bad. I prayed for a miracle.

And then it came.

I quickly devoured the magical beans, tripling my strength. With the increased power, I dispatched my foes with ease. Then I took a nap while my personal doctor patched up my wounds.

But little did I realize that this entire incident had been carefully plotted by one individual. He used the alias "Dragon Fogel" to convince various pawns that he was doing this for mere entertainment. It was only later that I learned the true nature of his scheme, once I uncovered the sinister Fogel's secret identity...

I'm not sure which panel is my favourite. I mean, I was ready to declare Anomaly's the best right away, but then I took another look at Plaid's, and I really can't deny the wonder that is an air-dropped can of beans.

Assuming interest can be drummed up again, which I kind of hope is the case, should the person accepting images switch?

If somebody else wants to take images, I'm good with that. I might even slap together an image for it.

Or I could do another one, I'm good with that, too.

Any volunteers? Or shall I just do it?

I'm up for taking images, but maybe not for the next one since I'm kinda busy right now?

All right, I'm declaring a new round in this. I'll run it again for this round.
