Or, "Which Grand Battles Updated This Week: Eagle Time Edition". Two people expressed interest in seeing this brought back, and with such a resounding demand, I thought it best to oblige.

I'm going to use this post as a general infodump, but since I have a fair amount of things to say I'll double-post and say them in the second, leaving this one clear.

So here's the deal. I will be keeping track of which battles update from the start of each Sunday, going by my time zone. However, before we kick this off officially, I want to talk about incentives.

Last time around, we had one specific incentive - posting in every S1-3 battle in a single week meant that Malky was contractually obligated to update Grand Battle High. But the rest of the incentive structure was vague, and I've probably lost track of how many Cool Things are owed.

So I'd like to hear some specific thoughts on incentives - both things you can offer, and things that you think would encourage you to post more.

Personally, I'm thinking it might be best to have rewards on a post-by-post basis as well as the ones for meeting overall goals. My impression is that the overall goals worked better when we had a lot of posts in each week, but didn't do a lot to inspire more when the posts-per-week dropped off.

At the very least, I think it would be good to have per-post rewards for S1, since that's down to only three battles and a little extra push to post in those might help it to keep moving. Similarly, it might be encouraging to the new S? players to know that people will do cool things for them if they post.

Also, since we now have a battles-only forum making it relatively easy to keep track of recent updates, I'm going to keep track of S! and S? battles as well. If people are interested in offering incentives for Minigrand posts, I'll keep track of those too.

I'll do my first update for this thread next Saturday, (a week from tomorrow at the time of posting) and in it I will count everything posted in this week and the next. After that, I'll track battles for one week at a time. Before I get to that, though, let's see some talk about incentives.

In short: is there something you'd be willing to offer, and how often? For each post? For posts in a specific battle? For specific milestones a week?

And on the other side, is there something you'd like to see that you think would encourage you to post more?
