They taste like metal; you're not really sure what illegitimate quarters taste like though?

The carpet has no visible cracks, and you don't seem to be able to pull it up with your bare hands.

(08-22-2016, 07:32 PM)a52 Wrote: »>Use QUARTERS on QUARTERHOLE

You try putting one QUARTER into the hole in the DOOR; just putting it in and holding on to it does nothing, but when you finally let go of the quarter, letting it slide in like it would go into a vending machine, you hear some mechanical clicks deep inside the door and suddenly a metal plate shnks into place just inside the hole before you can try putting the other QUARTER in. You give the knob an experimental turn, and find that this DOOR is now unlocked.

STATE SAVED.
(Whenever something meaningful happens, the STATE is SAVED. A majority of the commands entered being ">REWIND" will cause time to revert to the last time the STATE was SAVED. This can only occur once per update, but can be done on consecutive updates to go back several STATES if desired. It mostly means you don't need to worry too much about doing something irrevocable that makes a win condition impossible.
You can also, at any time, request a list of the existing SAVED STATES, which will be presented in reverse chronological order, i.e., the order they will be returned to if ">REWIND" is selected multiple times in a row, and each of which will include a brief description of what event caused the STATE to be SAVED at that time.)

Use your furniture to build a makeshift smaller room in the middle of this room, get inside and lock the door.

You open the DOOR and enter the next room out.
For clarity's sake, the innermost room will be referred to as "ROOM 1", this room is "ROOM 2", the room beyond it is "ROOM 3", and so on. Also for clarity's sake, we will call the side you have just entered the "NORTH" side and name the other sides according to the usual way of indicating cardinal directions; these directions will persist for future rooms.

In the NORTH side of ROOM 2, you find a blank wall opposite you, the same glass ceiling as ever, and about halfway between the DOOR you just entered and the opposite wall, a BLACK TABLE with a BLUE BALANCING SCALE on it.

You head back to ROOM 1 first.
You can manage the seat cushions of the COUCH, the back of the COUCH, and its armrests into something resembling 4 walls, but you have no GLASS to make a CEILING out of and you have absolutely no way to make a DOOR, much less to lock one. So you abandon the idea for now, and put the COUCH back together.

The plates are too small for your feet to fit in them, you just know you'll only succeed in falling over. Anyway, on closer inspection one of them has a BLACK WEIGHT stuck in it, so that would be in the way.

(08-25-2016, 12:43 AM)Kíeros Wrote: »> Flip the table

Despite looking like an ordinary wooden table painted black, and not having anything visibly fixing it to the floor, the BLACK TABLE will not budge, no matter you much you push or pull on it.

Put the weight directly on the table. The colors match, so obviously this will do something.

You place the MONKEY on the side of the SCALE opposite the BLACK WEIGHT. The SCALE's tipping doesn't change at all, so you take the MONKEY back.

You try to remove the BLACK WEIGHT from its plate, but it just won't move. You only succeed in pulling the plate around a bit.

There are three other sides: EAST, WEST, SOUTH. Obviously if you go toward the SOUTH end you'll pass through either the EAST or the WEST side.

You pick up the SCALE easily. In so doing, it is briefly close enough to your face to notice a small vertical crack in the middle of it. It's too narrow to fit even your fingernails in, but it's there all the same.

You head to the EAST side of ROOM 2. There is a PILE OF SAND here, and the outside wall here has a single WHITE OUTLET--strangely, it is not a normal pair of outlets, just the one. There is also a TALL POTTED PLANT up against the inner wall.

You have yet to discover a DOOR with an open quarter slot. (The slot in the DOOR between ROOM 1 and ROOM 2 closed when it unlocked.)

You go to ROOM 1 and walk around the room in a circle, not really discovering anything interesting.

RE: You are in a room in a room in...

You go get the ROLLING CART with the TV on it, and bring it around to the EAST side of ROOM 2 so the cord can reach; you then plug said cord into the WHITE OUTLET. You go ahead and try to turn on the TV again; this time it responds to the power button, and the screen immediately displays a close-up of a CABINET. The CABINET's doors have a padlock holding them shut.

You think you hear something rattle very slightly inside, like it's being held in but not extremely tightly...but nothing actually comes out.

RE: You are in a room in a room in...

The DOOR between ROOM 2 and ROOM 3 is here, placed in the horizontal center of the SOUTH outer wall. Its keyhole(?) has "$1" embossed on its metal. There is also a stool with a miniature replica of Michelangelo's David, except that it's made of some kind of RED stone and the hand's position has been modified so that the titular David is...picking his nose.

You head back to the EAST side to try this. You have trouble keeping sand on the side of the scale, but you keep at it until you realize that the SCALE is actually not tipping at all. You try just pressing down on the empty side with your fist and your own weight and it fails to budge. You're beginning to think that it might just be broken or something.
