My naturebox came in today, and I got to try lots of new snacks.
The incense I have in my room smells nice.
I really like how easy it is to check the temperature outside with my phone.

I think I'll do this every day.

I tried send fancy zucchini from the farmer's market today, it had nice savory flavors.

The fans that we set up around the house are cooling down the house nicely; there is a good amount of air circulation with the AC unit installed.

My roommates dragged me to campus to get ice cream and snacks from a Japanese summer festival. It was yummy and cheap~

I made 3 ginger pare cake while missing many key ingredients (ginger, unflavored molasses...) and ended up with some still very tasty cakes.

I finished season one of Sense 8.

I installed Pokemon Go and proceeded to catch 4 Pokemon without leaving the house.

I rode on a ferry

I gave a well-received physics talk

I ate a hot dog

I ate some nice leftover soup.

I went rock climbing and beat a wall I couldn't get last time.

I bought 5 pounds of cow bones to make the next soup.

Something from the past, something in the present, something for the future...

Ren made us some really good pizza for dinner

I played d&d and my character got a pack of what are basically yugioh cards

I realised i have 4 knives on my person right now and i'm not even in outside clothes

Yesterday I also had some nice pizza.
My brother came to visit, it's nice to see him!
Mall Madness is a good, simple board game about irresponsible credit unions.

Yesterday was full to bursting with things to do.

I finally played the new kirby game; it looks like it's best played with friends.
I worked a split shift, but it was pretty calm all day!
I'm starting to train the dog a little bit, and I think she's picking things up. Maybe.

I've got the house aaaaaall to myself.
Lots of generous tippers at work today.
The soft non-blue lighting in my room and all my devices is very pleasant <3

My throat is beginning to feel a bit better.

I went to the gym today for the first time in months, and exercised more than I have in... probably years. I'm gonna be really sore, but for now I'm just kind of tired and weak and happy and silly. Feels an awful lot like you feel after a little bit alcohol, tbh.

Speaking of alcohol, the reason I know what that's like is because we got home from a vacation in England just a few days ago (and there's a lower drinking age there). But today, I think I've finally mostly recovered on sleep and fixed my jetlag!

I don't have a third thing yet because I've just gotten back into actually doing stuff and it's only halfway through the day.

:c I'm sorry to hear that. If you've had a rough day, or even a rough year, it can be hard to think of the good things that happened.

But you don't need to write anything big. If you're laying in bed, does it feel nice to be under the covers? If you have no bed, do you at least have a place to rest? If there is not even that, how does it feel just to breathe, and fill your lungs with air?

There are lots of little good things like this, hiding in plain sight. Use all your senses. What do you see?

Got out of bed and went to class even though there were no actual lectures today! But went to a good optional lecture about writing a CV
Had a good chat with folks on the course afterward
Now I'm working on a new cross stitch while I ponder awhile on how I'm gonna finish and frame up my already-mostly-completed pieces

I know I've probably missed a day or two already, but that's no biggie. All you gotta do is pick it back up the next day!

I got to pet a dog today, he was a very good boy.
I watched a friend draw on stream for a little while, even if I only caught the tail end.

I messed around a bunch with music theory and obscure scales. Tetrachords are fun!
I went on a hike with my brother.
I found some really lush pads in Fl Studio that I'm absolutely in love with.
