i woke up this morning with my brain weirdly focused on the kind of super-bright over-dithered pixel art that you find in, i guess, really old hentai games for the PC? i wouldn't know for myself cause i never played any/watched any playthroughs or anything. there's just this sort of art style that i associate with the content and platform restrictions

that being said, i'm not out of my groundhog day loop yet. i'm just trapped in it further now.
