They're actually sliders, not buttons.

It's just painted on the back of the safe.

Everything in here seems the same for now.

Can we specify an RGB number such as "115 178 207"?

Get big, get the #33 box, shrink it, and place it into the color safe while the color is #FFFF00 yellow (red up, green up, blue down)
Then close it, and push all of the switches all the way down to turn it black... making a real hole?

That's a strangely familiar colour.

This result has the RGB levels being subtracted. The yellow colour on the keyhole (195, 195, 71) were subtracted from the variable colour (255, 255, 0). 195 - 255 = 0, 71 - 0 = 71 which made the resulting colour on the keyhole. I wonder what would result if a triple digit subtracts a double digit.

More importantly, using 195, 195, 71 on the keyhole box might back the hole black.

The red green and blue values change for each object in there relative to the change from the value when the door was closed to the value when the door was opened.

The door was closed at 255, 255, 0, and set to 0, 0, 0, so red and green values dropped all the way to 0 for all colours, but the blue values didn't change.
RE: 54F3
put the blue box in white and slide it to black so the entire box is a hole

But only if sliding it back to #FF0 returns the box to how it was. Otherwise black is kind of irreversible, and doing this is bad.

I'll get GIMP out and solve this this weekend.

You might want to reverse the quoting suggestions restriction when it comes to color changes.

Oh, it counted, but I thought you wanted to check before seconding it. It would be irreversible if you did that, for the record.
RE: 54F3
I don't think it's possible to get a #000 hole and #FF0 box without something to up the contrast, so let's wait on this.
Let's leave and go where the slots take us again.
