I don't know what I am anymore.

But today I am a river, flowing endlessly and surging swiftly, where I go I cannot know. I am a river with an indeterminate end, and an unfathomable source.

Today I am free to be what I wish.

Yesterday, or maybe last week. I do not know how long. All I know is that this stream started as a trickle, and I have watched it grow into a raging river. But before this I was made to be something not unfamiliar- yet terrifying.

It begins as a nagging pain, somewhere near my thoughts.

It manifests as visions of a world that confuses me as much as it causes me pain.

But today I am a river.

So long as I stand on my own, I can shape my own world. If I am unhappy with what I see, I bend it to my will- and visualize a new reality as I discover it.

I can disturb the steady flow of my river, as no river has always been peaceful.






Or I can reflect it's discord with existence of life.

Oh. God.

Perhaps... The consequences of immediately placing a fish in rapids was not very well thought out. My flow ebbs, and I realise that so too does my control over this space. I cannot refocus my consciousness.

I watch the fish begin to decompose before me. It felt like minutes, or hours, and somehow the specifics of how long I have been watching this fish now disappear from me altogether.





This fish is gone.
