Because I was getting tired of taking the game too seriously.

I signed up for this game for the ham. As soon as I started taking it at all seriously, I started enjoying it less. I delayed my fish-whacking because when I first did it, I found myself constructing a serious response and not enjoying it at all.

And I'm not alone in this: I keep hearing grumbling from spectators about how this is getting too serious. So let's make this a spectacle.

In fact, even this post is too serious for me! I may have to vote myself if I don't get hamming it up again.
