The jester mob decides that any claim of innocence cannot be allowed to let stand, and so they select Seedy for the noose.

Seedy was the Fruit Inspector, hired by the Mafia to ensure any fruit that got ensnared in their scheme was up to code.

Each night, Seedy could target one player and inspect any oranges they had. This would prevent that player from either conducting or being affected by orange-related actions for that night.

For whatever contrived reason, an orange would only pass inspection if it existed in a player's inventory at the start of the game. Seedy's win condition was to inspect three satisfactory oranges.

There are loud jeers of disappointment as everyone realizes they're actually making some kind of progress in putting an end to the Mafia's evil plans that they've completely forgotten about. This, of course, goes against everything Jesterland stands for, at least until Glorious Leader Paranoia decrees that Jesterland stands for something else entirely.

After ending the day on that sour note, everyone heads to their rooms for the night.

It is now night. Hopefully this one won't last quite as long as the last two did.

Everyone wakes up, headcount reveals no deaths, no new markings on anyone's foreheads... wait, this isn't the courthouse.

But the usual loudspeaker is still here, wherever you are, and it blares to life.

"Greetings, human jesters," it says. "Do not be alarmed. We have taken you only to study your behavior. Please do exactly what you would normally do and pay no attention to our observers."

Observers? You all take a glance and notice some strange green creatures sitting behind a glass window. Several of them wave at you with unfamiliar appendages.

"We said pay no attention," says the loudspeaker.

And with that, you're left to your usual devices. Including the day action stall, if anyone forgot that was a thing.
