A few months ago you graduated from Tyrassicheussets State University with a minor in Socioeconomics and a major in Meteor Identification.
It seemed like a really easy major at the time.
Long story short, you were looking through the industrial telescope you nabbed from the university upon leaving when you noticed a huge meteor coming straight for your country of Ameridon! After a few calculations, you determined that this meteor making impact would mean the very end of dinosaur kind.
Oh you tried to tell people, but people wouldn't listen to you, and even if they did, they scoffed and asked what you were going to do about it. You would have told your former classmates from Meteor Identification, but you were the only one enrolled in the course, and you don't even know what happened to your professor.
Clearly, you need to get people to listen to you. At the very least, you need to be able to make somebody do something about this meteor, but it would take a lot of influence and power to get the resources to accomplish this.
Why, you'd have to be the president of the United States of Ameridon, really.
