Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Riff enlists the help of Calloway in moving Clifton, but, alas, the Mareep is not strong enough to help that much. That's when Riff gets an idea, and picks up the sheep Pokemon, and starts rubbing its staticy Wool against Clifton to try and get the static to help stick Clifton to Calloway, and thus easier lifting.

...look, I think we've established Riff is not a tactical genius alright? But, uh, somehow, probably due to apricorn magic or whatever, Riff and Calloway now have a somewhat easier time dragging Clifton along, with perhaps less friction against the ground.

Hrothgar pops out of his Pokeball in an effort to help his trainer. He starts by trying to slap awake Hayes to help, but is stopped by the fact that Hrothgar does not know Wake-Up Slap, and also that's a fighting type move so it wouldn't hit the Gastly anyways. It then starts feebly trying to push the sleeping Trainer out of the grass, to no avail.

Sturm notices the fallen Bastion, and a few other people who have just collapsed! Clearly, this place is not safe. He valiantly picked up Bastion with one arm, (kindly recalling his sleeping Pokemon for him), and starts running off to the next town!

Everybody else gets the message and starts following.

Stout City
8:49 PM

So most everybody woke up mid-travel. Which was a good thing for Clifton in particular, as he woke up kind of aching and very confused as to what the hell his sheep was doing semi-attached to him. When Tori woke up, her Tropius mount seemed very insistent that he not have to carry her the rest of the way, and that was just a courtesy please try to have alternate suitable transportation next time you nap thank you.
Bastion only just woke up like a minute ago.

Stout City is a lovely little seafront city, y'know, like most of the towns in the Airot region. The main hotspot area here is the waterfront beach area. It's got a small commercial culdesac with a popular Bar & Grill called Salty's, and perfume shop called Poise N' Grace, and one of those stores where like most of the things are just 100P (Essentials Inc. they call it but most of what you'd find there is probably not essential), as well as a surf and swim shop because, y'know, beach.
The main attraction is the Stout City Gym, formerly just a Pool and Rec Center. Still actually serves as that if you're not lookin' for a gym battle. The owner stays busy, apparently.
Then you've got your staples. Ranger station, Clinic, Pokemart and Pokecenter (two in one combo building!), and of course it's Airot, so a Liquor Store.

Most of the stores are closed or closing at this time, but Salty's is still open, as is the Gym, and of course the Pokemon Center/Mart and Clinic are open.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Bastion goes to the POGEYMAN CENTER and donates 10P, heals his mons, then sends out Wigsa for a FRIEND STROLL to the pokemon mart to get some stuffs.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Clifton checks out the Ranger Station to ask them if they know anything about cooking or otherwise using Oddish for things, maybe things that can be sold. They're survival-y salt-of-the-earth types, right?

POKECENTER HEALURE GO GO GO

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Raph lets Stryker out of her ball to have a walk as well, and wanders into the Pokecenter.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Tori gets the impression from this guy and those Turtwigs that grass types just don't take shit from anyone. She is also a bit too achey from being slung across the back of a Tropius to properly yell at Clifton, so she goes to the Pokemart instead. Because grass type research.

"Do you, uh, need anything?" she asks the Tropius, seeing as he's probably too big to enter the store. Lorin can wait outside with him, or go looking for loot, or join her inside. He's his own bird, he can do what he pleases.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Sturm heals up his Pokemon with everyone else. If he can do more in a turn, then he heads down to the beach to try and train Jormungandr a bit.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Everybody who went to the Pokecenter/mart got their mons all healed up.

Tropius sticks its head into the door and looks around for something interesting to try and maybe demand Tori buy for him, but Lorin seems to have other ideas, and tweets at him a bit. The Tropius narrows his eyes momentarily, before following the Chatot off to... somewhere in the general area of the beach.

For those who are in the combination Center/Mart, here's the list of stuff. Feel free to browse for what else they might have.

Poke Ball - 150P
Great Ball - 250P
Potion - 200P
Super Potion - 350P
Antidote - 200P
Awakening - 200P
Paralyze Heal - 200P
Revive - 300P
Ether - 350P
Repel - 200P
Super Repel - 300P
TM18 Rain Dance - 1500P
HM A3 Surf - 5000P

Tori finds a small handbook called Full Contact Botany over in the book racks. It's 80P and looks like it's a guide on Grass Pokemon.

Sturm, still very hurt but eh just because he's not in the condition for fighting doesn't mean he can't help his Pokemon with that, heads down to the Beach to go do some training. Because this is probably not just one on one, this battle takes place in Roll20. This is still the link, if you don't have it any more.
btw you should add that turtwig to your sheet

Clifton stops at the Ranger Station, but it looks like there aren't many people there. There's one lady Ranger behind the counter. Seems she's the only one available, and unfortunately, she doesn't know anything about cooking or, uh, any sort of preparation of hunted Pokemon. Especially poison ones. She does give a tip that one of the local Rangers, Dale, is a pretty adept chef, and he'd probably be able to give some tips when he's around and, y'know, not too busy. He usually does a few rounds around the beach area for a few hours in the morning so you'd probably be able to catch him at some point there.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Tori grabs an extra antidote, the book, and looks around for any fruit-flavoured snacks for her buddy.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
retcon: Marc buys like four Poke Balls before leaving the PC/Mart.

At first, Marc wanted to go to the interestingly-named perfume store, to see what was up with the name. Upon seeing it was closed, and so were most of the stores, he sighed dejectedly, and headed down to the beach, Owei in tow.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Bastion buys four pogeyballs and two greato balls. MORE FRIENDSHIP STROLLING.

Bastion feels something... HUNGER.... he pokes Tori a bunch, "tori tori tori."

His stomach grumbles and he frowns.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
After exiting the pokecenter and having mons healed, Raph wanders into the supercheap shop for nonessentials.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Clifton kills some time by healing up his mons, then heading over to Essentials to look for cheap repair stuff.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Raph and Clifton stand in front of the (closed) Essentials shop.

"Uh."

Raph looks at Clifton.

"I...I might wander down to the beach then..."

AND THEN RAPH RAN DOWN TO THE BEACH IN ORDER TO SATISFY THE FLOW OF TIME.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
"Oh. Hm."

Clifton shrugs and wanders off to Salty's. He doesn't really expect that he can afford anything good, but he can at least check the menu and eavesdrop on people in the hopes of hearing something interesting.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Alright we got a few people fighting stuff at the beach that's cool

Tori looks for something vaguely fruit related and manages to find a bunch of individual packets of Berry Leather, at 10p a pack. No real nutritional value, but it tastes similar so hey.

Clifton heads over to Salty's. A few people are leaving, it seems like it's winding down for the night, but it's still open a couple more hours anyways, so there are no worries about going in. Taking a glance at the menu, most meals tend to range from 400-800P, with appetizers ranging from 200-500. You start listening in on the people that are there, but a server interrupts you.
"Hi, welcome to Salty's. You can seat yourself if you're looking to eat."

and over on the beach somebody caught a thing
Show Content
It was Marc. Marc caught a thing.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Clifton sits down and orders something for 500p, reminding himself to figure out a way to pay back Bastion. He then goes back to eavesdropping, as well as starting to read his book on gyms and contests.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Alright, the Antidote, the book, a pokeball, and three straps of Berry Leather for 460P total (and 3100P remaining).

Tori then heads beachways, looking for the big guy.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
"Yaaaaay! I like you already, you ruffian, you!"

And so, Marc lets Krebscorps (what an awful name!) out. I GUESS THEY JUST PLAY WITH EACH OTHER UNTIL BEDTIME.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Raph is still whiling away her night training up Stryker at the beach on wild pokemon.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Sturm returns from the beach, charges into Salty's, and shoves a fistful of pokemoney into the hands of the first waiter-type he sees. (It's about 800p.) Jormungandr deserves a feast for her hard work! The turtle can come, too.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Clifton figures, hey, close to the seaside, probably a good Seafood Appie Platter, so yeah, orders that. He doesn't really catch too much from others. Some lady says something about it being hard to find the right perfume when there's so often a fight going on. Whatever that means. Reading through the book has him learn a few things about what types of gyms are in Airot. The bit on his hometown is off though. He checks the publishing date and it's not /too/ old, probably not long before the change of Leader there. Shame he never found out what was going on there before he left. Oh well, hopefully the rest hasn't changed too much.
The GM is flying by the seat of his pants on contests and exactly what information he gained about them will probably come back to him when it's relevant.
Ooh the food has arrived. Fish is brain food y'know. As Clifton eats some of the 500P appetizer, and ponders his 500P debt, his Wisdom raises just enough for him to come to an unfortunate realization.
+2 to WIS temporarily

MEANWHILE A VIKING BURSTS IN WITH A FISH UNDER HIS ARM! And lets the turtle out to join in the festivities. The waiter just assumes a hardy Tauros Steak would be the best for this viking and gets it out promptly. Yggdrasil eats a bit of it and seems to grumble a bit. It seems more upset that it's enjoying it than anything. You get the feeling it's not as great as those flowers, but it at least is glad that Sturm's giving it something.
Jormungandr partakes as well as a floppy fish can. Sturm has the rest and feels TOUGHER THAN EVER.
+2 to END temporarily

Alright Marc plays with pokemons wheeeeeeeeeeee

Tori goes searching for that there Tropius, who is quite a ways down the beach, neck over a private fence, munching on somebody's berry tree. It becomes momentarily startled as it notices Tori, and immediately goes back to munching on the berries. Lorin is sitting on the Tropius' head.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
STOMACH RUMBLE GO TO RESTAURANT

(also sleepy)
[Image: 6xGo4ab.png][Image: sig.gif]
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
Clifton decides that since Marc and Sturm are here anyway, he might as well eat with them. He moves himself over to the viking's table, beckons to Marc and continues to chow down.

"So, uh, you guys thinking of doing that whole gym challenge thing? Electric guys are good against water guys, right?"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
"Huh? Oh, um. Well... I could, but... I didn't get a badge back at Spirit Town. If I wanted to be dedicated, I'd have to go all the way back there. Besides... I don't think that's my goal. The reason why I'm on this journey is simply to take pictures of all the pokemon in the region. And also fun I guess. It's been fun. Yeah."
