Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Sturm roars and clangs his sword and axe together while Sleipnir gets all up in that one dude's face, rears up, and bursts into flames victoriously. They got really lucky but also that was awesome.

Sleipnir leveled up! Point to HP! Sleipnir learned yet another even better version of Tackle!

"No, Groop! You did your bestest! I will heal you up right after this!!! Go Hayes! Use Night Shade!"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton is silently overjoyed that he wore sunglasses because damn son look at all this white flashing and shit.

"Oh, yeah. Riff! Go around the Reflect... thing, don't bother attacking! Just get as far from that skulldude as possible!"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Marc uses Action Photo on the Astonish.

Owei moves down one, left two and uses Hypnosis on the Duskull.

LEVEL UP!

As Tori starts to leave, Wisp appears out of seemingly nowhere.
"I know a little something about death. Learned a lot more than ever before about it near 70 years ago, if you can connect the dots there. It isn't anything I would wish on anyone. You're a good trainer, Tori, but you might want to work a little more on your listening skills, or paying a bit more attention in general. Actually listen to people. I'm sure you'll find that not everybody is out to get you."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Riff! Weave back in and hit him with another Struggle Bug!"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Go Hrothgar use Pound!"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Marc just kinda stands there aiming his camera.

Owei runs back behind the barrier and they play that silly tag-around-the-table game or whatever.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Tori freezes, looks about primed to retaliate with more swearing, then settles for looking sulky.

"Look, Mr. Spektor, you've probably got a whole lot of good reasons to think you're right about things, but you're just assuming like everyone else that I have any fucking clue what I'm doing. You don't know what it's like having people believe you're talented, considering you probably actually are talented and don't have my problems."

"I don't want challenges. I don't want close calls. I'd rather just get through this whole damn escapade I've been sent off on with my sanity and my conscience intact. If Natalie hadn't wrecked some Gastly's shit on the way here, I wouldn't have bothered fighting you. You were supposed to be easy money, not another fucking almost-corpse on my hands."

Tori clutches the swag bag closer to her, like Wisp's going to take it off her for backtalk.

"On which note, I need to get Gyps to the Centre. Now. If, uh, that's no problem."

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Raphael picks up her book and pulls on her backpack. She walks over to Sturm and attempts to shake his hand... "U-um...I...I probably couldn't have survived that on my own...so...um...thank you."

She meeps and makes for the door.

"Understandable. Whether you want them or not, there are likely to be challenges ahead of you, but I digress, I won't delay you any more. I'll send an Empath over to the Center to see if they can help Gyps get better more quickly."

He gestures towards the door, which leads Tori right outside the front door of the Gym.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Gabby notes with a bit of a forlorn sigh that he can't fit in Raphael's backpack anymore. So they skip! Hand in hand! Down to the Pokecenter! Where Gabby ducks into a ball and is passed over the counter! Raph looks around! Is anyone else here?
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton shakes Marc's hand. "Nice job, kid. Those eggs of yours are going places."

He then heads off to the Pokecenter, Riff in tow, silently thankful that he didn't decide to fight Wisp because god he would have been totally screwed.

Riff leveled up! Point to defense!

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Bastion goes over to shake the dudes hand and then trecks his way out of ze gym. On his way out, he notices the probably also-leaving Tori and follows her around as usual with a small smile.

"Hey Tori! How'd it go?"

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Thanks, Clif. Your Kricketune is pretty cool too."

And then I guess Marc goes to the pokemon center. With Owei safely in the pokeball and no longer cursed.

Owei leveled up!

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Tori just blinks owlishly in the disorientation the gym's exterior presents.

"It, uh. Mixed bag."

Tori leaves it at that and makes a beeline for the Pokemon centre, getting Gyps checked in first before handing Natalie over for a shorter stay.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Bastion follows and puts up his pogeymons for the healings.

After a bit, he tries to get Tori to sit down with him or somethin'.

"You don't want to talk about it huh, I guess that this sort of thing isn't as fun as I was led to believe. All my life, I've been told that being a Pokemon Master was The Thing To Be, that going out on an adventure with your Pokemon was the greatest experience you could have. Did you know that Red did this alone? I can't imagine that. I don't know what I'd do without you guys, even the more jerkish ones. I just don't know what I'm really doing anymore. I mean, I got hurt last night Tori. I thought it was a dream but it wasn't and with all of the stuff that's been happening I don't know what will happen next and it is scary. I didn't think that it would be like this."

Bastion is silent for a moment, and then he remembers the odd feeling he had last night. "I don't really like this place..."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
SPIRIT TOWN POKEMON CENTER
Healing occurs! The Nurse sees that Tori gets Gyps in to the Ward, and in a couple of minutes an Empath enters the Pokemon Center, and heads into the Ward as well. He mentions that his powers are generally less for serious injury healing and more for basic healing, but he'll see what he can do to make Gyps get better quicker.

The Center is more populated than it was during your late night visit. There are quite a few locals here. You assume they're locals due to the garb, but they're just hanging out it seems. Four of them are sitting at the table. One of them has a Solosis with them, and another some kinda two tailed cat. Sorta two tailed. 1.5 tailed?

One girl is typing away furiously at the public PC. She seems really into whatever she's doing, and seems to have left a pokeball just lying on the ground next to her.

Somebody else is grabbing a pokeball back from the Nurse, having just healed their Pokemon.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Tori is feeling marginally calmer about Gyps not dying on her immediately, so lets Lorin out again to pilfer or pick fights as he pleases. She then gives Bastion a veeery careful glance.

"I dunno. I guess I can appreciate his wanting a bit of solitude? If you wanted to head home, though, I could probably escort you back to Port Town. Those other dudes shouldn't mind any."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Bastion mopes a bit and thinks hard for a bit, with his hand on his chin.

"I don't know. Even with all of this I'm still a bit worried. There are bad people out there, from last night, and they beat up the gym leader! It's... weird. Really weird. And even with all this bad stuff, I... I'd still like to think that hanging with you and Sturm makes it worth it. Because you guys are cool. And because your pokemon are cool. And because so far, despite our troubles, we've been able to beat up those bad guys together." Bastion stands, still unsure of how he feels, but firm on one thing. "I don't know what's the right thing to do, but for now I want to try to be the best I can be. We are in this together for a reason, and I don't think it's so that I can run back home."

With a small resolve, he walks over to the Public PC, picks up the Pokeball and taps the ladies shoulder, "Excuse me, Miss, you seem to have dropped this."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton scans the weird tailcat and stretches. "So, where you guys want to head next? I kind of want to get into the contest scene, so I'd like it if we could find a place with a lot of berries."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
WHERE IS EVERYONE GOING

THERE IS STILL FIGHTING TO BE DONE
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Marc kinda flips and scans and also takes a picture (not really) of the tailcat.

"Oh yeah berries would be nice. You know, for Owei's Harvest? Oh and um about this adventure, I dunno, I kinda like it so far. I mean yeah it's dangerous but at least we're doing something. And besides, you're not just gonna let these guys do whatever they want, right? So, um, let's go for it! I mean, if it's not too much of a big deal."

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Raphael, who watching Gabby concertedly playing Mario Kart, looks up at this. "An adventure? I...don't think I'd call this an adventure... adventures are supposed to be full of progress and growing into who we're supposed to be and great epiphanies and...all we've done is drive off some goons..."

She tilts the Pokedex a liiiittle bit, much to the protest of Gabby, and scans the cat thingy too.

"While we're on the subject of berries though...i-if we see any Apricorns..." she mumbles into silence because oh meep they're all looking at her meep meep curl into ball of shame
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Hey, even if we haven't grown yet, our Pokemon sure have, right?" Clifton smiles and scans Gabby's new form before he forgets. "Besides, we've barely started. We got a ways to go."
