Pokemon Tabletop RPG - It's Aliiiive!
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Ugh, fine."

Tori is officially Sick Of This and grabs Bastion by the scruff of his neck.

"Come on kid, you're showing me the way to Ale Town."

She also resolves to get him to show her his Pokemon, as soon as she's out of Oak's sight. Loath as she is to follow the professor's none-too-subtle suggestions, perks for waving the stupid gadgetbox around seems like easy enough work.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
WOO HOO
Bastion raises his arms up in the air in EXCITEMENT.
He calls out Hrothgar so that he can carry him so that he can see the sights!
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton shrugs. "Guess we're going to Ale Town, guys." With Riff at his side, he begins ambling after Bastion.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Tori surreptitiously scans those bitches just as soon as Oak's out of sight.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Without much else to do, Raphael tags along. Mainly because Oak is starting to creep her out.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Sturm adds his companions' pokemon to his pokedex by way of furious button mashing.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Everybody who Pokedex's their companions pokemons do so. Sturm does in fact the interface quite easy to work out, although it seems to take a little bit to fully register.

Route 300
11:34 AM

You've done quite a bit of walking, mostly uneventfully until you reach a potential obstruction.

A flock of sheep-like Pokemon are all over the path, seeming to be mostly minding their own business.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Bastion just keeeeeeeeeeps on trukin, ignoring the Pokemans.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Raphael catches a glimpse of a bird-like Pokemon behind the nearest tree, and sees if she can point her Pokedex at it surreptitiously. "Hey guys! There's something there!"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Eh?" Clifton shuffles around to get a look at it, pointing his Pokedex in the same direction.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Uuuuuugh."

Tori, lacking the energy right now to yell at Bastion for marching through a pack of possibly-murderous monsters, ignores whatever the rest of the team is excited about and scans the yellow-mabobs with her Pokedex. She's going to refrain beating the crap out of small animals unless they wail on Bastion first, or if Natalie decides she's going to pick fights or something.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Oh come on, they are just Pokemon out in the wild, they don't attack people for no reason."
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Sturm tries to catch a glimpse of whatever's lurking about in the pond over there. There could be sirens, or sea monsters! Really, you can't be too careful.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"No reason? I-I thought they did, if you walked through tall grass or something..."

Clifton and Raphael both identify the Pokemon in the east tree. It seems to be a Chatot, a Flying/Normal type Pokemon.

Tori identifies the sheep-type pokemon as Mareep, pure Electric type.

Sturm goes to examine whatever's in the pond. Whether they're Pokemon or something else is unknown, and even pointing the Pokedex at it reveals nothing. Perhaps a more clear vision of them is required.
The Mareep in the Tall Grass nervously examines the intruding Sleipnir.

Another Mareep curiously goes to check out Bastion.

Natalie heads over to take a look at one of the Mareep more closely herself.

Marc also Pokedex's a Mareep, and takes a picture of it and Nat together.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton smiles and places his case on the ground, slowly unlatching it. He withdraws his saxophone and slides the reed in; then he very carefully saunters over to the tree and begins softly playing a song.

(Friendship roll time!)
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Sturm wades into the pond to try and find out what's inside. Sleipnir can stay behind, for various obvious reasons.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Tori 'dexes Owei while he's close at hand, then goes to take a better look at the bird in the trees to the west.

Remembering something about dangerous Pokemon being in tall grass, and getting the impression her team doesn't want to beat up these harmless creatures, Tori walks around the trees and has a bit of a fossick around in the grass while scanning the Chatot.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Bastion pets the closest Mareep.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
'Ralts ralts!' Gabby runs in the direction of the nearest Mareep.

"Okay, slooow down there, you." Raphael follows, pausing to point her Pokedex that way too.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
Clifton attempts to play some kind of Song of Friendship.
Ally Check 25: 1d100=96
Either using it as a weapon earlier weakened the quality, there's something jammed in it distorting the sound, or you just have suddenly and inexplicably forgotten how to play, that was really bad. The Chatot charges towards Clifton! Two Mareep approach, also not looking too friendly.

Evidently, the other Mareep take this as a sign that the trainers here aren't here to be friendly. The Mareep in the tall grass by Sleipnir takes it as a sign to go take an aggressive stance.

Two Mareep start heading towards Tori, who has also taken up space in the Tall Grass.

The Chatot Tori was looking at becomes hostile! In two turns the Pokedex will have its information added.

In two turns Raphael will personally have information on Mareep.

Sturm jumps into the water, and two large sea monsters emerge!

Marc snaps a picture of the Chatot quickly and instantly gets its pokedex information. Because, y'know, Researcher. He uses Frantic Research on it.

He does not learn the Chatot's level.

The Mareep Bastion is petting meeps happily.

RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"Shit!" Clifton bats the Chatot away with his saxophone (which is totally a blunt weapon BY THE BY). Over his shoulder, he shouts for Riff to go two meters west and one meter north, then use Struggle Bug on Mareeps 2 and 4.

Clifton keeps a wary eye on the Chatot, but glances over his shoulder at Raphael. "If you want one of the sheep, you can have 'em, but I want this bird! Got it?"
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
STURM KNEW IT

STURM KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN

Sturm tackles the nearest sea monster and tries to wrestle it into submission.

Sleipnir uses its vast movement range to moves down one square and use Growl again.
RE: Pokemon Tabletop RPG
"What the hell are you guys doing over there!? Fuck! Natalie, over here! Pursuit on that Mareep!"

She points at Mareep #3, then tries punching the bird, further demonstrating she has no fucking clue how type matchups work.
