Rules:
Show Content
SpoilerRule 1: Revenge - You must follow rule 1 from your most recently hosted ruleset. If you haven't hosted a ruleset yet, this rule always passes.
People who always pass: Kieros, Gatr, ICan'tGiveCredit, maybe others
People who ended up always passing: Reyweld (never mentioned Reyweld in any of their posts)
People who ended up sometimes passing/nonpassing: Ixcaliber (use a unique word never used in the round), qwerx3 (post at least an hour after the previous post)
- These were the things I was trying to emphasize if people wanted to deduce what Rule 1 was.
People who had really hard rules that never passed: Sruixan (all words in xkcd simplewriter), Akumu (alphanumeric value = post number), Schazer (make a bird pun), Kaynato (post contains a secret), Fogel (post contains a GB adjective and a GB noun), Laser (post contains 8 i's), CrimsonMage (post contains a fictional object with description), possibly others
Rule 2: Flawless - Posts must be unedited at time of judging.
Rule 3: Delay - If a post [not made by the round host] contains a positive integer, call the first occurrence of such an integer X. The post X after this one passes the rule.
- Somewhat interestingly, Sruixan's updates #159-164 ended up passing posts (159-164 posts later) - in fact update #164 was post 6797, so it passed the winning post (as well as the 3 mentioned in qwerx3 in post 6958).
Rule 4: Recursion - Post must link to itself.
Rule 5: Predict - Post must mention the user to post next.
- Can be from a quote tag (which was how the rule was being passed at the beginning). I was expecting people to pass either by mentioning their own name and doubleposting, or mentioning my name [which I'm not mean enough to prevent people from winning]

I edited the rule slightly because that was how I enforced it. (Otherwise a lot more posts would've passed)
For example
"Good news, my name passes rule 1.
Bad news: RULE 3 AND IT'S ANNOYING DELAY THAT I THINK IS 3 BUT I'M NOT SURE.
Rule 3 is totally passed here."
contains some (positive) numbers. It is post #6954. The first number encountered is 1, so post #6955 passes rule 3.

Some incidental notes on details: I additionally counted numbers that were spelled out (one, three). Heck, I even counted the French Kieros was posting at some point (un) - though that was because the language context was obvious (so if some random English word happened to be a number in some other language, it wouldn't have counted (sex in Icelandic; lime in Balinese; do in Hindi, etc. etc.)). But ordinals (first, second) and "times words" (once/twice/thrice) didn't count as numbers.

Let's try explaining it again. This is post 6972. Since 6972 is the first number encountered in thisp ost [and not say, 13944 or 3], had my round been still running, post 6972+6972=13944 would've passed rule 3.

With that said, why aren't the rules hells counted in the standard ordering?

because they're just variations on rules already been done. rules hell rulesets are methods of recycling old rules in new and devious ways.
