"I sure hope there's something big enough right above you. I'm going to get you out of here first."

"And then what'll your plan be?"

"Dunno, but if you get me out, then you'll be trapped in here with my device, which I spent a good amount of time trying to prevent in the first place."

"Tch, fine. I suppose I'll try to get you the hell outta here once I'm out."

"Alright, this shouldn't hurt. If I made it correctly."

Okay, that's one problem dealt with. Now you've just got to find your own way out. The cave is blocked off, and your device can't teleport items into thin air, so removing the rocks is out of the question...

...Oh hell no.

exchange rocks with two more red meteos thus launching them and the rocks on top of them into space.

You're pretty sure you can stay submerged for about 10 minutes before you get totally fried, but you can only hold your breath for about 2 minutes anyway, so the 10 minutes is more or less a non-issue.

You stick your device into your toolkit, because the toolkit's case is pretty lava-proofed. Your jetpack, however, is not, so you have to ditch it.

Allez-oup!

It's a little hard to see. Also, you want to cry. You need to get out fast.

You think you can see the surface.

Alright. You've made it back outside, right below the cave.

...now what? You don't have your jetpack.

Well you were never too good at it, but hopefully you'll be able to last long enough

*WHOOSH*

Alas, it was not quite meant to be. You lose your flare and perform a faceplant on the rock.

"Ouch."

"About time you showed up. I was about ready to blast a fucking hole down to you."

"Can you cut down the language a bit?"

"Fuck no. Let's get going."

"Shit."

"What is it?"

"The two we need are underneath where that sign is."

"Oh. Shit."

Well, now what?

"You can probably use that fucking thing to help them out."

"But I can't even see them. How will I know what I'm doing?"

"I can project a side view of the place for you. Should help you out."

"...how did you do that?"

"It doesn't fucking matter how I did that. Now you can probably move some of that shitty PortaClay floor stuff they seem to have installed, and if you line up a few of the fucking death cubes they'll launch up into space."

"Okay. Watch me work my magic."

SOON

"Oh Goddess what's happening?"

"This is going to void my warranty, I just know it."

"My house!"

"Gimme that fucking thing, kid."

"Yes, sir..."

SOON

"You owe me a new house and medical expenses. My everything hurts."

"Am I alive?"

"You should be fine. Uh, your horn was already that way, right?"

You can now control both Rothnan and Pyretheus

The two of you take a few moments to relay your stories to each other.

"...wait did you really just grab her a-"

"No! I, uh, so hey, you should know where we could put these pylon dealies, right?"

"Well I guess I'll point you to the best place to place those things and I'll just clear some of these blocks from-"

"I'm already on this. Go help put down the fucking pylons."

"But then you'll have my invention, and I won't."

"Do you trust me, kid?"

"No."

"Well too fucking bad. I'll get the thing back to you later. Go away while I fix this shit."

"Urgh... Fine."

"Alright, this place has had a lot of seismic activity, particularly whenever people try to build around it. It's caused a bit of superstition about the area, and while scientists have been saying another earthquake is unlikely to happen any time soon, people don't even like to come here. Should be a safe place to have the death cubes fall."

"Alright, then let's give a lesson on how to install these suckers!
It's simple, really. Place it flat on the ground, then open up the panel near the base and push the green button twice. Look at the panel and input the appropriate code for the color of pylon, then SLOWLY push each slider all the way to both extremes and back to the exact center. It doesn't matter which extreme you start with for the first one, but for each following slider, you have to start with the opposite. Be sure to go from the top down. Then just hit the red button and close the panel! Easy as 3.141592653-"

"Okay thanks Chief. I think we've got it."

"Got it."

"It's not exploding, so... I think I did good?"

"Excellent! This planet shall be safe once more from the danger of the ruinous cubes we call Meteos."

....

"...shouldn't we be going before we get crushed by standing around here?"

"Oh yeah! Beam us up."

"Mission accomplished!"

"Alright, Pyretheus. Where do you live? We can beam you right there."

"Ah, well, about that. Do you think I can come with you? I'm an inventor, so who knows what kind of things I could come up with to help you out?"

"Well..."

Well?
