That doesn't apply when the person you're trying to persuade is yourself. Bina already knows everything she needs to know about Twelve, because she knows what would get herself to that point.
This isn't about proof. It's about emotional state.
Twelve is pinning things on Three because there's a lot about the whole situation that doesn't make any sense. Blaming Three allows her to have a sensible explanation, so she's clinging to that.
The conversations we've seen read less like Twelve is trying to stop Three and more like she's trying to get a confession.
Not that I'm sure where to move from there, but that's the definite impression I'm getting.
