After a lot of puttering around, there's a vague consensus in favor of lynching the guy with GUILTY on his forehead. So everyone decides to settle for that.
Granolaman was the Jester Interceptor; town-aligned, technically. Each night, he could select one player and cause any actions targeting them to target himself instead.
He would win if the Robber survived to the conclusion of the game.
Before anyone can figure out what any of this means, however, the speaker starts blaring.
"Before the day's events are fully concluded, the following players are to participate in a Jest-Off.
Pharmacy, seedy, awkwardcarapace, CSJ, Numbers, Ixcaliber, Palamedes, Thalia V1.
We call this event Roll to Jest. Each of you is to post one action in this thread. When all actions are posted, a six-sided die will be rolled for each action to determine how successful you are. The higher the number, the greater the success.
However, rolling a six will result in the action being, shall we say, dangerously successful. That said, we have taken special care so that your actions will not kill you, as that would be too jester-like.
Normally in this sort of game, we would keep going until only one entrant was left. For the sake of speed, however, we will simplify the process to one round.
Anyone who rolls a 1 or 6 will be unable to act tonight, as they will have to recover from their dramatic success/failure. Among the rest, whoever rolls the highest will be declared the winner of the Jest-Off - or winners, in the event of a tie. Of course, if the dice are bad, you could all fail, and wouldn't that be a shame.
What does winning get you? An intriguing question. We'll find out, if anyone makes it out of this round.
Now, let the Jest-Off begin!

There's no reason for this | Or this | Death is inevitable | You can't challenge fate | The smallest change | I'm overwhelmed
I'm serious | It makes perfect sense | Easy as ABC! | I can't even explain it | Cleaning up someone else's mess
I suck | I rule | I've got it made | Really, I'm serious | This bugs me | It's all lies | I want to believe | Beauty is a curse
