I think the main issue with username-based rules is using the entire username.

"First letter" or "length of username" as variables are okay, or even "say your username somewhere in the post", but restricting every single letter just disadvantages people with longer usernames.

Also let's be honest, our early shitposts that round were way more distinctive and less repetitive than a lot of the posts that started passing Rule 2. BUDDY.

This suggests that the best way to encourage new meme generation (and what else are we trying to accomplish at this point?) is to change rulesets frequently rather than leaving people stumped for sixteen pages.

Or, I guess, to frustrate them so much that Bob tries to impersonate Akumu and Shredded starts a new "round". I still don't know what Rule 6 is.
