i am pretty warm most of the time, which does not go well with my area's usually balmy temperature

it might be a contributing factor but i feel relatively more energized at night, even if i haven't been staying up late, like perhaps supernaturally so

I perk up around 10.30PM and can keep trucking until 2 given gentle mental stimulation and a lack of good reasons to be properly conscious in the daylight hours.

This week is Obon, so there's no classes, teachers actually taking time off, and even less to do at work. I've slept less than fifteen hours in the past three days, gotten more crafts done than I have in months (thanks, driving school ) and am in urgent need of a proper night's sleep but I'm a dumbass who just remembered "Oh shit! I know how to sew cool things!"

I have answered the question that nobody thought to ask:

the roaches around here like to nibble at our exposed fruits, so we put out a sticky trap next to it and like six of the little dudes pile into it the following night

I'm at a lower latitude in Miyazaki than I was in Nuu Zilland, so this past year's been a learning curve for dealing with unexpected household guests. On the bright side I no longer enter panic mode at the sight of cockroaches, and can give you effective tips for how to deal with an ant encroachment.

I would chalk it up to forum posting (chatthreads in particular) being a social "activity", and people are fulfilling that through other mediums (e.g. IRC)?

Like, we don't really use it for just shooting the shit because most of us do that on #eagletime, or tumblr. The forums see a lot of activity when there's a group project happening, and I've definitely had less energy for doing creative stuff over the past couple weeks.

Yeah this place has always felt kind of more like an archive and outlet for longer form creative activities than can easily fit on IRC rather than a social outlet in of itself I guess?
also the Grand Battle Forums I guess but nobody posts in those either
