Marc gets all excited at seeing pokemon, then Owei moves down one, left two, and makes a Reflect wall just in front of Sturm.

Sturm draws his sword, and Sleipnir flares up like a cat arching its back as they follow the group.

(You want us to fight through an army of ghosts for a Grimer?)

Everybody finishes their scan. The Gastly still has 21 HP.

Tori recalls Molly and sends out Natalie, who will hopefully be less incompetent.

Sturm readies his sword.

Bastion initiates a silly face competition, as it seems to be what the Gastly is after.

Raphael moves one east, trying to shield Gabby.

"Gabby! Use *ulp* Double Team! M-maybe if they can't hit you, you'll be s-safe..." o_o

Sturm moves around and because the PCs are in a different layer than the gastlies and trees, does not get to show up behind them. He is not actually climbing a tree. Yet.

BASTION SNEEZES and it sort of messes up his attempt.

First thing's first, Natalie fucks up a Gastly. I guess I should roll to determine how much.

...yeah. Gastly 2 is down for the count.

Natalie and Molly each gain 68 EXP.

It's a fairly goofy face, but Clifton reigns supreme. Distraught, it begins to take its leave.

Gastlies 4 through 8 are just watching for now, although 5 does edge a bit closer.

Gastly 9 tries to Lick at Owei, through the wall.

Owei took 4 damage.

Gabby used some Double Team! Three more Gabbys appeared, BUT WHICH IS THE REAL ONE?

(It's B. You all aren't really against Gabby so I don't have any issues with telling you such a thing)

Owei did some fleeing, but Sleipnir was in the way of his destination.

Hrothgar moves to a place that is least likely to make allies fall asleep and used Sing!

And then she shakes herself out of her reverie, and manages to stammer out a pile of orders.

1. Gabby D moves three south.
2. Gabby C moves two south, two east.
3. Gabby A moves one north, one east.
4. Gabby B moves two south, and uses Confusion on Gastly 5.

AND WITH THAT

Raphael moves one west and lobs a Great Ball at Gastly 5! Because stuff and whatnot and also that capture specialist static ability woo

Oh. Well. Marc moves right once and down as much as he can. Owei moves down as well.

Also if Owei is in range of the bottommost Gastly, he uses Hypnosis.

Marc moves around a bit and does a scan on Gastly 8, which is a bit silly, because he already did so earlier. HP is still 21 since it hasn't taken any damage. He still has all the same information he did before, available in the Pokedex. Ghost/Poison type, weak against ghost, psychic, dark, immune to normal, fighting, resistant to poison, bug, grass, same as before.

Clifton heads down to the space where Bastion is, but Bastion is in the way. Bastion has an extra space to shift anyways so moves down one, kindly enough. Clifton then inserts a knife into a gaseous blob.

Now as it so happens, Gastly * wasn't actually looking in Natalie's direction during that last thing, so it's still none the wiser. It did watch all the rigamarole with Gastly 6, though, and isn't particularly impressed with your battling, so decides you need his expertise.
