The Uncanny and Cryptid corners of the Unusual Internet
Hi, I'm Myeth! And my favourite pastime activity is prodding weird shit on the internet that I shouldn't be prodding while browsing the world wide web. I love finding things and then instantly regretting it, and I hope you do too!! Post the weird, creepy, and otherworldly things you might have stumbled upon here for a discussion, or maybe to just go "What The Fuck".

The internet is a strange place, and the things that inhabit it even more so

These sites aren't so much cryptids as.. fossils. Inspirations.

Here's my playlist of inspirational videos, and it probably counts as at least three and a half cryptids from some of the more obscure videos on there.

(Some of these videos are pretty seizurey, so be warned about that)

And for some truly bizarre and uncanny stuff (even for me), check out PilotRedSun. It's probably a little too popular to count as a cryptid, but he's one of the few bizarre internet content creators whose work actually makes me uneasy instead of vicariously mischievous.

I knew two folk on a forum once a while ago named Grifter and vultures

They were sort of like yin and yang. Grifter was the edgiest most freaky strange person imaginable, posting these long-yet-short diatribes about the Vietnam war, drug use, American politicians, and other posters. We had RP threads and he would periodically drop time-travelling trauma-filled teenagers from various wars into it and then have them die for inexplicable reasons, usually torturous. He did this in random threads with no invitation for months until we finally memed so hard about him that he made a post several pages long that detailed how the memes came to a conclusion and him and another character survived in some desert somewhere. The "I WAS IN 6 VIETNAMS" memes never die between me and some friends from back then

vultures had a much more confusing writing style, but was a cool, chill dude. He was also the only person who really got Grifter's intentions. Only vultures remains and I think he lives in another dimension.
