Hello let's play a game!
Alchemy Attack is a game all about mixing potions and hurling them at the face of your enemies. A long time a go I ran a game of this on the other forums here! It stopped pretty early because I got busy and my usual commitment issues and junk. But I've been thinking about it lately and I figured hey why not try it out again!
Anyway here how you play:
MAP THINGS:
Show Content
Spoiler
The aim of the game is to get to the end of the map! Each turn you move one square in whatever direction you want. Depending on what square you land on, different things will happen!
The Treasure Boxes contain potions and money!
The Skulls are bad guys, landing on one of these will start a battle on that square. Anyone can jump in if a battle has already started.
The coins are little bits of money! You can use these in the shop to buy more potions!
Finally There are the Cages, which contain members of the team! The game only starts with 2 players, to get more players in the game, you got to get to the cages and free them!
But how do battles work!?
Show Content
Spoiler
When a battle starts, the players that ran into the square are randomly placed on the left grid. Players have 5 hit points each should you lose all your HP you die.
On the players turn each player has 2 actions they can do.
Mix: Unfortunately, you can't just attack with your base ingredients. You'll have to mix them together to create usable compounds! A compound requires a minimum of 2 base ingredients to be usable but you can mix a maximum of 4 ingredients together in one concoction. You can't mix ingredients outside of battle (though some potions can be used outside of battle).
Use: Once you've created a compound, you can use it, either on your enemies grid or your allies. You can use compounds anywhere on the ally grid, however you can only throw to the right into the enemy grid.
Give: Gives a potion to one of your allies, this can be useful if one of your allies are in a better position than you, or have ran out of potions to use.
Move: Allows you to move one square up, down, left or right.
Another thing you should take into consideration is the grid. The Blue squares are the back row, when standing on these squares you get +1 defense but -1 attack power. The Red squares are the front row; they give you +1 attack power but -1 defense. The White squares are the middle row, which gives no bonuses or penalties when you're on them.
This applies to the enemies as well as yourselves.
When all enemies are defeated the players will gain money and potions which you have to decide how you should split. Should any compounds go unused in the fight they will split back into their base ingredients at the end.
Sounds weird and convoluted.
Aww come on man don't be mean.
Alright I'm sorta interested how do I sign up?
GOOD QUESTION.
First you gotta choose your starting potions! Each player gets 25 . Spend these coins at the shop right here for your starting potions! It's probably best to spend as much money as possible but if you want to save some for the next shop I won't stop ya!

and that's it! Hope I explained things sufficiently! I'll answer one more question.
Are you going to abandon this like the rest of your games?

You can mix two compounds together but after that you can't go any further.
Each ingredient is like 1 point and you can have a mix of 4 points in 1 potion.
so Base(1) + Base(1) = Compound(2)
Compound(2) + Compound(2) = Compound(4)
Alternatively you can:
Base(1) + Compound(2) = Compound(3)
Compound(3) + Base(1) = Compound(4)

Is (Ingredient 1 + Ingredient 2) + (Ingredient 3 + Ingredient 4) different from Ingredient 1 + Ingredient 2 + Ingredient 3 + Ingredient 4?

They'll both lead to the same outcome. Doing it the first way gives you two usable compounds in the middle stage, while the later gives you only one (albeit more powerful) compound to use in the middle stage. They would both take the same amount of turns to make so it really depends on what you prefer.

Y'know there was a time when I had an answer for this but now I'm not so sure. The position of the attack/defense squares may differ in the game proper.

Nothing; until you mix them. In battle. And then throw the resulting compound in someone's face.

Spoiler I chose the players based on a random number generator. Schazer is a secret wizard with the power to get into all my forum games regardless of how the sign ups work. You can still sign up for a chance to appear in one of the cages!
Also yes the ingredients remain a mystery until you mix them, though you can probably guess what most of them would do. There will be some SECRET COMBOS and new ingredients added as the game goes on. I hope everyone has fun!

Yes! You trade any amount of bases to other players outside of battle. In battle you can give a player 1 base or 1 compound per action.
