First things first, you should fix the sink.

Look at that grody-ass sink. Is that raw sewage? Disgraceful.

You've got some maintaining to do. Go ahead and open the maintenance hatch.

Did touching the wrench to the edge of the time bubble melt it? Is your other self moving inside, or just standing still? If he's moving, maybe we can collaborate with our past selves if we anticipate our future actions! If not, then there's not much you can do about it; for all you know that's just the after-image caught in the event horizon of a black hole or something. Give us a quick lookaround: where are the exits, what do you have on you, do you have any useful information about what just happened, stuff like that.

Use the scalpel to unscrew it! Let's see what's inside.
Incidentally, what's a medicine chest doing in a technology research laboratory? Is this some kind of makeshift basement lab or a hidden research project?

Don't ruin the scalpel! Use the side of a safety pin instead.

Take the battery out, maybe you can use it to power something else.
