Single again, almost a year of singletude now. About to move back into old apartment complex but this time sans roommates.

100% most excited about just being able to walk around my apartment naked. Keep dreams attainable and such. Most likely going to be this order

Materially, things are pretty similar I guess, but for the first time in over a decade I've been able to go more than a couple days without being constantly consumed by the desire to end my own life, so that's pretty cool.

I was working at a little local bakery, but the chain that owned the property closed it out from under them. It sucked a lot for a lot of people. Now I work with most of the same people, including my old boss, at a chain nearby. It's nice to have a job I'm not embarrassed to say I have around Judgmental Older Folks.

That's cool, I'm still a Wal-mart grunt, but our judgmental older folk just like to say "at least you have a job" and then go on about welfare state

I mean I get most of my taxes back, do you know what's taken out of my check that I don't get back random old guy? Social Security.

And suuuuuuuuuuure, you could give me guff about how Social Security was made into part of the general fund and my money isn't particularly likely to have reached you but if you're at that level of cynicism then I don't really know why you think I'm funding EBT.

edit: Google tells me that that's a myth, but cynicism doesn't always use facts so I'm letting it stand as the kinda thing an old person with problems with the government has guffed me about.
