...and I got incredibly lucky with my googling, as a quote reproduced on someone's Instagram led me directly to it; a "stereophonic sound" demonstration from 1958! (at ~5:21, since the "quiet!" is sampled later on in the track, and then the sample I was looking for comes directly afterwards):

So that's my evening made. I love finding out where samples came from...

I had a really absurdly busy day, but I got a glowing observation from my director, who even thanked me for delivering a good lesson.

three day weekend starting tomorrow, followed by regular two day weekend after popping into work on Friday

there's a boy among the half-dozen students rostered to clean my staffroom who's very talkative. I saw he was looking at little gold sparkle stickers I had on my desk so I gave them to him to give one of his eyes an anime sparkle. Last I saw as he headed back to class he's still wearing them.

I'm glad BTP came back to the forums.

I'm also glad mushi-shi is a show. cause it is good and you should all watch it.

I just assembled a mostly-complete family tree and holy shit was that an undertaking, albeit a satisfying one

4 grandparents
5 uncles
6 first cousins
5 uncles+aunts of my father, all of whom have kids
9+ first cousins of my father, most of whom have kids, with two branches incomplete
at least 16 folks in my generation with the same great-grandparents as me, and thanks to my dad's propensity of keeping track of all these people I figured most of them out with some judicious facebook-friendslist-trawling

soon my exams will be over.

Once that's done, I can work on art again and get a jobbb....

It's gonna be good to not be in school any more, I think.

I'm excited for the future.
