The Other Alchemy Game Simulator
I've been programming a game with javascript/HTML that is like an alchemy game (starting with x elements, mixing them to discover new elements), except it runs itself, creating a "universe". This is an idle game, so I recommend running it in the background of doing something else.

So I'm going to post a link to it here, it runs in most browsers, and tell me what you think / make suggestions.

(Dropbox said there was an upload error, so tell me if it isn't working)

RE: The Other Alchemy Game Simulator
I'm always a fan of self-running, randomized, pointless metagames. I used to make a lot of stuff like this when I was first learning to program.

Could you add the recipes of each element next to it? Like "Element: 52 [lots of spaces] Foo + 2 Bar"

Ok this is pretty cool. Definitely some way of seeing what materials end up in where would be neat.

That would be a lot of commenting, considering that there are also multiple ways to get some of them...

Unless you mean in the actual game, which would make more sense. I could work on making a button that toggles the visibility of recipes.

definitely entails more coding, but a mouse-over so you can find out what "goes into" any given item currently visible. Maybe a toggle so you can see what ingredients it goes into, but keeping as-yet-unseen compounds off the list?

My brother just recommended a list to the side that reveals all combinations that have been made, which would be a hardish but cool feature to add.

I have six tropical islands and a plump helmet man within seconds of opening it up!

It's definitely interesting, but I think it needs some kind of input? Maybe something simple like being able to set what ratio to gather the four basic elements in?

all my water keeps disappearing.

At each trial run. Is this a sign of global warming? Could reyweld be the prophet to guide us from a deserted earth onto a spaceship to live with the Groptilians of Rigel 7? Tune in next time on "Burning Questions of Chemistry"
