The road's song is a song of continuous renewal, scattering her children to the wind to plant their roots in fresh soil. Her most faithful children however are those who never leave that gust, planting their roots nowhere but instead gather continuously from her.
We are Couriers.
Your name implies one who is reliable and one who's diligence is endless. It is one name of course, because who has a second name in this world? You are the child of the road after all, no family could claim you their daughter.
What is your name? >_

i like this one also
Standing here, The way ahead's becoming clear
All across these new frontiers
In my hands I hold the ones I love
Walk forward through the cold dawn
Always to new horizons
that one guy, that does that one thing.

Your name is Blue. Lots of wonderful things are blue, the sea, flowers, but most notably the sky. You feel like it's a name to fill into, but never stops giving you places to aspire for.
Your steed is an Engine named Nobody, it tends to frustrate people when you tell them his name, which never really gets old to you so you have a gentle appreciation for such a strange name. You weren't the one who named him, but you sort of wish you were sometimes.
By now you're halfway across the Pilgrim Plains. You heard in the last town that the stone towers were seen as faithful servants on a slow pilgrimage to a blessed land, but had lost their way and can only reach for the heavens for direction. It's a cute story you suppose.
For you, it's a less-than-scenic stretch of rolling hills with plenty of hovels for monsters to hide in to ambush a traveller in if they decide to stay the night in one of these hollow towers. Thankfully on the back of an Engine it's a half day's drive at worse and you're on the back of a particularly faithful Engine.
Some Couriers swear by the loyalty of riding a Sundog, but animals can be so finicky sometimes.
You value consistency after all, Nobody just asks for a few tune ups here and there and doesn't complain when the road goes long.
The sound's really relaxing too, you can really lose yourself in the um... in the...
...uuuuhhhh...
...................................Hmmm...
You'll rethink praising anyone while they're still capable of taking your fond thoughts for granted. This lazy hunk of junk just stalled out. Jokes on him though, cause you're not pushing anyone out of here but yourself.
Alright, what now though seriously? >_

Look around for anything of use. Maybe try and use some elbow grease to get the engine going?
