You awaken coiled around yourself, floating in a silent expanse.

Distant lights flicker and drift around you, each in their own color. Some are brighter than others... or perhaps they're just closer?

Nearby, you see a dark, swirling mass. You cannot tell quite how large it is, but the colorful lights appear to be drifting toward it. It's hard to be certain, but it might be drawing you toward it as well.

What do you do?

Eat some of them other colorful lights before you approach. They'll make you stronger, probably.

Eat?

Oh yeah. Eat. That's the thing, where one thing envelops another thing, and they become part of the same thing, right?

Perhaps this swirling Something is the sort of thing you might eat?

Conflicted on whether to head toward, away from, or around the swirling mass, you only manage to waggle fitfully in place.

Maybe before you head there, you ought to approach one of these smaller lights, and see if you can eat it instead? Eating is a thing that seems like it'd make you stronger. And that might help you feel more confident. Probably?

With another quick wiggle, you propel yourself toward the closest-seeming light... a blue one. As you drift closer, it grows larger and larger, resolving itself into a familiar-looking shape...

Indeed, just because you're going to eat them doesn't mean you have to be rude about it.

You are pretty sure you could eat this Blue Stranger...

...but you're not quite sure that you want to?

(01-08-2018, 06:20 PM)Schazer Wrote: »Remember your manners

Oh, yeah. Manners. Those things you do because they're expected of you. Even if they aren't always what seems most fun at the moment.

You try exercising your newly-remembered manners. While the other entity continues talking, you decide to wait politely.
In the meantime, you'll try to make up your mind on whether to eat them or not.

Blue Stranger: I can't believe what nice colors you have. It's like there's a whole rainbow in there!
I didn't even know Souls could look like that... wow.

I bet you just lived a real virtuous life or something, didn't you?

Blue Stranger: I can't really say the same. I'm sure you already knew that from my color.
Everyone knows what having a Blue Soul means...

Anyway, I don't know about you, but I'm hoping for a quiet life next time. Peaceful and unexciting. Something low stress, with room to be alone with my thoughts.

Blue Stranger: N-not that I like being alone!

The trip through Limbo can be so lonesome. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? You know... time to reflect on your last life, on the way to your next one. I'm still glad we crossed paths, though.

Even if we don't remember this later... it'd be nice to have someone to talk to right now. So how about it? You want to chat, while we make our way to...

Blue Stranger: Wa-hey there, spooky! What's that all about? We're souls. We don't have to make a mouth to talk anymore!

Er... you are trying to talk...

...right?

Quiet. Good for an unusual opinion. Doesn't talk much.

Try wrapping your tail around them just in case they try to escape. They are a blue soul after all, they can't be trusted.

Don't eat! This one has valuable information, and could provide companionship.
You can always eat 'em later.
Do lick, though. Just to get a taste.
