The class I am teaching is having an exam next week and I told the students they could bring a single sheet of US Letter sized paper with handwritten notes. One student asked if they could have notes on both sides and I told them they could use the entire sheet. Even the edges!

I am currently waiting outside my bakery. A delivery driver clipped the gas main and the whole store was evacuated. Not the morning I expected.

So apparently what happened was a delivery driver from a produce company backed into our actual building, damaging it and the gas main and breaking the gas line underground. When this happened he left without saying anything to anyone, parked his truck somewhere else, and came back to the store. Our manager told him he couldn't come in or be around the store as there was a gas leak, and he responded by telephoning his dispatch and saying we refused the delivery. There was, of course, no mention of the accident or the evacuation. Heaven only knows why he didn't think the fact that we have security cameras outside as well would be relevant.

Yeah what the heck, not only the backing up in to the building part but the utter amount of lying/not informing anyone part. People could have gotten hurt. Glad you guys have cameras back there.

Sounds like an elaborate Simpsons sketch ending with Homer going up to the clearly closed bakery and ordering a muffin or something, and they're like "Sorry we can't bake without an oven" and then he goes "d'oh" while a few workers carry buckets of uncooked dough by him.

Goddddddd I want to rant so bad about all the bad shit that went down (most of it was internal badfeelz because guess where I learnt to cultivate those!!!!) but that'd entail speaking ill of the socially dead

Also I Extremely want to be like "Everyone! Come use my clubhouse!" but can understand folks wanting to start up a new site and/or forums format not being the most suitable

Yeah I get that. I still think using Eagle Time as like a meeting place or hang out spot is a good idea tho AND TBH I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS so having you all here is really nice. ;-;
