It seems that despite the damage dealt by the renowned Presidential Punch, it still seems to be stuck in the rearing position. Perhaps it's preparing for a stronger attack? Whatever the case may be, Muon's prepared.

That being said, you seemed to have stunned the beast for a few extra seconds. That should be enough to check the inventory

  • Kary Fang-Dagger - dagger crafted from the fang of a greater kary from long-ish ago. Gifted to you on the trip which you first adopted Tachyon.
  • Pocket Knife - you don't ever leave home without at least one or two of these.
  • Important papers - documents regarding important confidential details and facts. Can be thrown at an enemy to confuse, stun, or blind a foe in a practical fight.
  • Pen - great for writing things. Also shouldn't leave home without one.

You admittedly do not have very much on your person right now. You really weren't expecting to get into a scuffle like this. Perhaps if you had, you'd have brought some better weapons. You brought the Fang-dagger along, as it is a delightful keepsake and a great conversational piece.

You could continue to fight alongside your Karies in this fight, to inflict more damage with your great feats of strength, and you can also perform another CHECK. Using the CHECK ability in battle will reveal a somewhat different set of information during a battle than outside of a battle after all.

Tutorial Text Wrote:While using the CHECK Ability outside of battle will give you a wealth of info about the general status of your Kary, when it is used in a battle it will give you information that is relevant to the battle system. This info includes age (Karies that are considered "child" age will be unable to enter the battle screen.
Those considered Adolescent, Adult, and Elder age are able to partake in battles), their Kary-type and subtype, and what kinds of moves / abilities they can perform in a battle.

Some Karies are great for dealing damage, and some are good at doing more supportive roles in a fight, like getting a read on your foes or inflicting them with statuses. It should be known that the FORTIFY status is a boon status that most any Kary can use without any particular extra requirements.

Checking has been somewhat helpful. Can't really get the same kind of info about Karies from yourself but it does list what kind of moves that you can do. That's always helpful in a fight, knowing one's own limitations. Scan sensor is fairly useful since it allows information that you don't already know about a foe to be found. It's like a fancier check ability, since check will only go so far with karies that aren't yours.

Ava Maria's interesting in that she's got the lovely *Primal sticker to her usual adult age. Seems like she got into something that might have given her a stat boost in exchange for becoming more enraged.

Tutorial Text Wrote:Now that's handy! You've inflicted a status on your friendly foe over there. These can be quite helpful when utilized in combat.

Now that you've stunned Ava, she seems to take a (slightly more) vacant look to her(?) eyes. You've probably surprised her and enlightened her on all matters financial with regards to her assets. She doesn't actually have any assets, but she's smart enough to understand what those are. Not enough to realize she has none, and this enlightenment is enough to properly confuse her.

Oh dear... You can continue to try to win her over. With some insistence, and perhaps some support, you could still win her over. She just seems to need to be in the right mind to do so. Or perhaps you could make a case for it now, since if a kary is confused enough one could theoretically tame it.

At least that Blast barrage didn't hit your Karies. That would have certainly hurt Muon. They're both at the ready should Ava try to pull a fast one or if you need extra help in winning her over.

Author's Note - Just wanted to keep readers updated! I think I'll likely settle into a weekly (once per week) update schedule as school starts to pick up.

That being said, things will likely slow down for a bit since I do have real-world obligations to keep up (school and all of that). I haven't abandoned this forum adventure just yet, but it's not going to be as quickly updating for a while.
