You are Flannery Bootz, and you're Awake.

Wherever you are, it's Dark, and your head feels pretty foggy. You seem to be loosely wrapped in a Light Blanket, and lying down on an old but comfortable Couch. The smell of the cushions is a mélange of Corn Chips and Something Like Wet Dog... neither of which are fully concealed by the aggressively floral aroma of Chemical Deodorizers. Someone's Living Room, maybe?

Your Hazy Thoughts try to get themselves into Some Semblance of Order... enough, at least, to take stock of your situation. Your eyelids are heavy, puffy, and a little sore. Your Lower Leg feels sore too, as well as hot and itchy. The leg also seems to be Excessively Bandaged, with a great deal of gauze. That's right... your Leg Wound. The last thing you recall before now was your fight with those Rat-Shaped Slimes. You'd been cut... then you'd ended the fight, you think. And then... well, the Bandaging must've happened after.

You Can't Remember anything that happened between then and now, though.

A large Window hangs above the Couch. It's shuttered, but the faint glow of what might be Late Evening or Early Morning Light filters in through the blinds. Peering around through the Relative Darkness, you see a distant blink. A Blue Digital Clock, on what might be a Microwave in an adjoining... Kitchen? From the same direction, you can hear the hum of a running Refrigerator.

You feel very tired. And sore. And confused. And... now that you're thinking about it, also Pretty Hungry?
