Mystery Game 12: Crowns

Ugh, I typed out a long piece of lore and Eagle Time ate it.

too long; didn't write - There are a number of crowns. Players can control crowns that are unclaimed, but crowns that die are lost possibly forever.

Angels had reached the final castle. The human king, knowing their reign was over, divided his magic crown into 100 pieces, and scatterd them among his citizens. Each piece attached to a human and changed them, gifting them with powers and youth.

These Crowns defended the kingdom, routing the Angels, but at a cost. The humans had been wiped out. Grieving, they sealed themselves away so that they could forget the world, and were in turn forgotten. Even to themselves.

I was looking for the B U F F crown but I guess the Gold Crown will have to do. Let's go!

EARTHEXE - Candy Crown

PSHHHHHHhhhhhhh!

You push out of the container that previously concealed you, and sprawl into the light. The dust and webs covering this place allude to its vacancy; you are alone here with 29 other similar containers.

The light spills in from a large crack in the ceiling, showing a view of the sky. It's beautiful blues and rich whites capture your attention, but not before it is distracted by another, similar opening noise.

What a perfect arm. A candy heart appears in your hand.

GATR - Gold Crown

You pierce your shadow with elegance, arm jetting through. From there, you pull off the contain lid and enter into the light.

Another figure has emerged from its cocoon. A tall, gangly fellow with rich brown skin and peppermint red eyes. They smell of chocolate and toffee, and a small pink crown tattoo can be seen on their forehead.

You brush the dust off of yourself, and further examine your surroundings. A doorway leads to an unlit corridor. The room is old, practically falling apart. Carvings in the wall are illegible and covered in webs.

Is the rest of this man before me as perfect as his arm? Dear me, I may swoon!

I squeeze the candy heart between my round and probably fingerless hands.

I don the Waxy Crown. It is kind of uncomfortable due to the Waxy texture. Why did I not see this coming?

The Quintessential Crown shall be mine!

I will take the last one, the Final Crown.

I flex my muscles a bit, then I start brushing the cobwebs away from the carvings. Maybe we can examine them further then.

Earthexe - Candy Crown

You release a tiny sigh, admiring the beauty of the crown before you.

Their efficiently short black hair offers contrast to the black and gold patterns painted around their eyes. Their tan skin is flawless, and glistens slightly. They stand tall (despite being shorter than you), looking you right in the eye, cold and calculating.

What a time to be alive.

You squeeze the candy heart, breaking it apart into several smaller cinnamon hearts. You also subconsciously note the normal finger count (5) on both of your hands.

Robust Laser - Waxy Crown

PPPSSSsSSShhHHHhhhh!

You have a little trouble pushing your way out of the container, but when you finally do, you are shocked by the light. You remember the sensation, but you never thought you would miss light so much.

The outside is warmer as well, and you feel your skin start to crawl down your body.

Schazer - Quintessential Crown

The container disappears around you. You evaluate the other birthed crowns.

You lift up your legs and float, waiting.

Kaynato - Final Crown

You palm the container, and it collapses in on you, forming armour. You sense the other crowns noticing you, with either alarm or interest.

Holes for your palms open up in your armour, on instinct.

Gatr - Gold Crown

You give the crown what he wants, flexing and posing in new and dynamic ways. Candy hearts begin to fall out of his hands.

After regarding the armoured crown, you move to a nearby wall. Brushing it with your hands, you unveil an engraving of a peacock, floating overtop of a couple having sexy times. Symbolism has always alluded you. Further down the wall, an image of winged figures sing to a small group of farmers, who look enchanted.

Goblin’s - Lil Wee Crown

You tap on the wall of the container. You throw your little fists at it, but nothing is seeming to work.

“A little help?”

Your container disappears, and you gaze at the ensemble before you. The floating crown raises their eyebrows.

“Thank you!”

ICan’tGiveCredit - Theoretical Crown

Your container would open, that is, if there were a container. But there wasn’t. In fact, this room had always only had 29 containers. You were just standing here the whole time, with your eyes closed. This is definitely the truth.

You think about your container. Was it ever really here? Did you imagine it? You are pretty dang sure there might have been a container here, even just a few minutes ago.

Btp - Crown of Lies

You open your container, and grimace at the nasty dust and cobwebs everywhere. The other crowns in the room glance at you, and do double takes.

You exit the container.

You feel light and free, and imagine locking up the container to see how it feels.

After a little effort, you open the container.

You are holding a black pen.

I enjoy the light for a moment before quickly taking respite in the shade of one of the unopened containers

Wow wow!! Look at all these friends! ...Most of them look like friends, at least.

I'm gonna try to make more candy things. A candy bowl full of candy! And I can give candy to my new, currently candy-less friends! In particular btp, he probably looks like he needs it the most.

I sigh genially and greet the one closest in form to me, the Cosmic Crown.
