At first I thought it was just a weird Skype glitch that just happened to crop up every time shit was uttered. A very polite VOIP glitch.

Can't wait for the next parts!

Thank you guys for all the amazing feedback!

I've been working to make the audio sound a bit better - feel free to let us know what you think!

As promised, here is the second part of Eagle-Talk Episode 1: Teacher-Talk!

I liked it! It's interesting hearing the other side's point of view, having been a student for all of my life so far. God, you are all so old Melonspa.

I'm considering becoming a physics professor myself when I'm older, though it's more likely I'll be a researcher or engineer.

I'm looking forward to the last segment!

(I must admit I didn't notice a difference in the sound quality, but that's probably because I'm listening on shitty tablet speakers.)

Yeah they're too distracting. When I put the whole thing together, taking out the yips is high on the list of to-do's.

re: teacher talk

w/ magnetic breaking, would it be possible to create car brakes using magnets that are stronger than current car brakes?

RE: Eagle-Talk (Episode 0.6 - Teacher-Talk)
Magnetic braking is strongest at high speeds, so it's great for slowing things down but not so good at stopping them. You would need some additional system to, for instance, hold a car still while it is on a slope. And if that additional system works perfectly well at all the operational speeds of the car, why put in the magnetic braking in the first place?

That said, a lot of electric cars do use magnetic braking along with friction brakes, because the eddy currents in the brake plate can be used to recharge the car's battery somewhat. This is the basis for regenerative braking.

Science-Talk is up!

Listen to hear Schazer and Akumu answer (most) of your questions!

With this we've successfully finished our 1st full episode!

I'll be working to smooth out and combine the parts into one longer cast with some shownotes and the like.

In the meantime keep an eye-out for possible hawksquawkery in the future!

Thanks ! I unfortunately can't answer your question about medication, being not a pharmaceuticalologist.
