Jonny Stardust.
This fella's been on your mind for a while. All throughout town, all sorts of bank robberies, burglaries, and missing persons have been reported. Nobody, not even the cops have been able to track down this dastardly crook. Few people have managed to get a glimpse of his ugly mug and live to tell the tale, but nobody knows how he keeps getting away without getting caught.
Heck, the only reason you know the guy's name is from an anonymous tip, which could even be from the crook himself in a sly attempt to throw you off!
Well, then again, this is the first real case you've received besides reports of cryptids that all turned out to be incredibly mundane things. Come on, people. Is it really that hard to decipher what an owl looks like in the middle of the evening?
> Who the heck are you?
You are LYDIA EUCLIDEA, an amateur detective, snooping out all sorts of anomalies and snuffing out bad guys. At least, you'd like to admit you do the latter. You're quite MEEK and SOCIALLY AWKWARD, but when you're on the job, you try to maintain a HARD-BOILED STOICISM. This case involving the so-called "Jonny Stardust" is your first chance to really make a name for yourself!
What will you do?

Check the crimes/missing persons for patterns/links. Might want to get a bulletin board for this.
Quiet. Good for an unusual opinion. Doesn't talk much.

You look around your barren office. It's pretty dusty, but otherwise in good condition. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

You've pinned a few pages of news articles to your bulletin board for that exact purpose! So far, the press has covered 5 missing persons, as well as a handful of other incidents that weren't very noteworthy.
The five missing people in question are:
- HEIDI and RONALD MERCURIUS, a young girl and her grandfather who were living quite ordinary lives before they both went missing last Friday.
- NICK TOMBAUGH and GEORGIO SIDUS, two criminals who were on the run from the cops when they reportedly vanished as they ran in to a dead-end alleyway a few days ago on Saturday.
- MARIAH MANSON, a famous musician whose house was discovered to be completely devoid of life after one of her relatives came to visit her yesterday, on Monday.
As for the bank robbery article you have pinned up there, there's a specific detail that was quite intriguing: "There were a few witnesses to the robbery that had apparently seen 'a man that looked like his skin was coated in blue fire' running from the bank."

Aaand there goes your train of thought. If your brain had a face, you'd punch it in the jaw for thinking that!
Your FLUSTER meter rises slightly.
That "dorky" belt of yours is the WAISTWATCH! It's a family heirloom that your grandfather handed down to you when he got too old to continue his job of being a secret agent. Despite what its name implies, you've adopted the weird habit of wearing it around the bottom of your ribcage. Your grandfather claims it has special powers, though due to his high SENILITY stat, he is unable to remember what any of said special powers were.
Regardless of any powers it may or may not hold (or whether or not it looks dorky), you'd much rather not ditch this part of your attire.

Sorry again for another late update, I probably won't be able to update on a particularly consistent schedule until summer rolls around. ^^'

Gah, right, right. Now's not the time for reminiscing! Your mind has a bad tendency to wander like that...

Sounds like as good of a plan as any! Let's see, first you'd need to find out where Heidi and Ronald were last seen and search around there...
...Then you'd have to go the spot where Tombaugh and Georgio made their abrupt getaway...
...And lastly, you'd have to peruse Mariah Manson's estate. Ah, right, and the bank too! When was that again?

Apologies for the long absence, I've been drawing a bunch of completely unrelated secret things as well as working on a completely unrelated secret project, among other things. There'll be an update this week, I promise!

Oof. Welp, classes are officially starting for me once more, so with disappointment I must say that Stardust is officially on hiatus (though you could probably figure that out from the sheer lack of updates). Sorry it happened so early, I'm not sure when updates will resume... All I know is, they will resume. Eventually...
