Winter Game Giveaway 2019 (Endgame: Final Four)

WINTER GAME GIVEAWAY
2019 EDITION
Hosted, as ever, by yours truly.
Anyways, here we are once more to gather around the forum and give out/get free games (depending on whether or not you are me/one of the various donors we get or not). For the few of you who aren't used to seeing this pop up every year or so, we'll go over everything from scratch again, though you can always look back on old ones (run with my various wonderful comods Coldblooded, SupahKiven, Chirality, and SupahKiven or just by myself).
The basics come down to this: I hand out free games like it's going out of style, and competitors (that's you guys) bid on the ones you like best in a no holds barred bidding fest to the death moment in which everyone has won! The previous systems from the giveaways of yore that Coldblooded and Chirality helped put together are still in place, and work like so:
Quote:It works like this: Every single game up for grabs will be revealed right at the very beginning of the game. (Or a bit before, more likely.) Every player is then given 100 points to divide among whichever games that they like best. After everybody has distributed their points, we will then determine the winners of the four most popular games currently on the table. The more points that somebody has placed into a game, the better their odds of walking away with it.
Show Content
SpoilerFor example, imagine that a game has 200 points on it, with the points distributed like so:
Player A - 100 points
Player B - 50 points
Player C - 25 points
Player D - 25 points
Player A has a 50% of winning that game since they have 50% of the points sitting on it right now. Player B has a 25% chance of winning it, and Players C and D each have a 12.5% chance of winning it. If any other players decide to jump onto the game before the deadline, it drags down the odds for each of the other four players by however many points that they happen to throw in.
If Player D decides that they don't like sharing these odds with the rest of the pack, they can always pull back out and move those points elsewhere.
Once a deadline is reached the top games of the round will be raffled off. In order to promote activity, players will gain 25 points at the end of each round. Players who have bid and didn't win their game will also receive a consolation prize of 50% of their lost points back (rounded to the nearest multiple of five)! This means that you don't have to worry as much about going big and losing it all on a popular game, since you can be right back in the fight after.
Finally, while you are free to change your points up to the deadline, please only ever do so in a new post - this makes figuring out who voted for what much easier since we don't have to go through the entire thread post by post every time we're calculating who wins what.
I'm going to look over the previous givaways and determine if any other rules would make things better, but those will be announced in thread if they occur.
In addition, if anyone has any suggestions based on previous giveaways to make things better feel more than free to message me!
A potential new gimmick will probably be added this time around too, so look forward to that!
As per the last few giveaways too feel free to stand against my efforts to clear my extra game queue donate as well (or instead of, if you already have too much) at This quicktopic I set up here. Please make sure to check here before actually buying anything, while an extra copy of a big game isn't a big deal having forty copies of Bad Rats wouldn't end well for anyone. Just post what you're donating (or planning on donating) openly or anonymously and we'll keep a more organized version of the list here. Make sure to only post the names of donated games in the quicktopic, send the actual code or link via PM to me/the winners (your choice).
Also steam's not so great for gifting anymore because of their weird purchase rules, but if you have any old inventory gifts there feel free to toss them in, and if you're looking to put in something new I recommend looking into GOG and/or Humble Bundle. They'll probably have winter sales coming up so keep an eye out!
Finally, to take part in the giveaway you must have:
1) Been part of the forum before this thread was created.
2) Have signed up in the thread prior to the sale ending and giveaway beginning.
_______________________________________________________________
To sign up and get your game, you're probably going to want a Steam account (some exceptions for GOG and similar submissions) and an interest in free games. If you don't already have an account, they're free and very easy to set up.
Signups will likely end sometime between December 25th and January 1st, a more concrete date will come out as we get closer. If we get a lot of late signups/interest this deadline can be pushed back a couple of days but that's going to be it for now.
P.S. A special thank you to Coldblooded, Kocel, and all of our donors for the inspiration, help, and donations that make this whole thing possible.

I would like to ENCOURAGE STRONGLY donationing so here's what imma do.
ANYONE who donates a game. Not some rubbish Bad Rats. a Good Game. Something you could spend a good buncha days on and go through multiple times.
I will buy you a steam Key of GalCiv 2 Ultimate (all the gubbins) PLUS send you a copy of the last known Community Update (June of this year). It is an Old game but one that I invested a huge amount into. If you don't like 4x games / don't want it, I will not buy it needlessly. But seriously. 92% metacritic! Almost completely moddable! Runs on anything that can run steam, basically.
maybe I will revive my alternian empire faction mod
All this needs to work is for donators to tell Pala if they want Galciv 2 or not so a list can be sent my way. This offer will expire once I hit 20 which man, that would be pretty cool I would love to see 20 people experience this old but super fun (and super huge) game.

A small clarification I forgot about: If you're buying a gift over GOG, it will prompt you to select an email for the recipient. According to my past experiences and their own help pages, if you put in your own email you'll be sent a key that you can then send later. Also, in the quicktopic, please specify where the game you are donating is coming from (Humble Bundle, Steam Inventory, GOG, etc.) for those who may only want games from a specific service.

I've added a few more games to the list (besides those from our great donors) to try and attract a few more bidders, and you can look forward to even more joining the list in the following days!
I'm tentatively going to close signups now December 31st, at 11:59 EST, or New Year's Eve.

Sorry about delays getting this started, the new year has been busier than I anticipated though I really shouldn't be surprised there.
I'm going to finalize the games that will be up for auction this time today and probably look at starting the givaway proper either Thursday evening or Friday morning (EST). To make up for that, if anyone does still want to jump in they'll have that much time at least. Thanks for your patience!

Alright, sorry for the delays but we're finally starting! From previous experience we're going to be starting right from the getgo on double overtime mode - which is to say, eight titles will be given out at the end of the round!
A couple more games might also be added once I hear back on something but I'll announce that when it happens.
100 points on the board for everyone, so get bidding!
