Pokemon XY OU Monotype Tournament - STARTING

Aight nerds, I think it's time we did one of these.

General Smogon rules and banlists apply - no ubers, no mega kengas, gengar, lucaro, or mewtwo, sleep clause, evasion clause, moody (ability) is banned, as is swagger(move).

This will be a Round Robin tournament - each type will fight each other *once*, and we'll be doing this on Showdown.

The winner gets SIX - count 'em - SIX pokemon of their choice bred to specification by me.

ONLY ONE LEGENDARY PER TEAM IF IT IS AVAILABLE TO YOU.

That means only one (count 'em) one legendary OU or lower per team. You all have choices from your types that don't rely on legendary stats, Use Them.

Singles, and monotype just means they all have to have the type in their typing, not that they have to only be of that type.

Due to the *slow* pace of signups we're doing doubletypes - pick ONE OTHER TYPE - in reverse order of signups.

This means the order of picks goes from top to bottom:

Remember to keep your teams somewhat even in representation of your chosen types! that is all.

I can't believe signups have been going on this long and I STILL haven't needed to actually call dibs on Dark Type yet.
And like, I wasn't even really sure if I would join, seeing as how I only have like two people from this forum on my friend code thing and I haven't beaten Y yet.
Is there even... do I have to have beaten the game to participate? Do I need that pokemon bank thing? I've been lost for months.

We'll be playing on an online simulator (the one Garuru just linked), so you don't even need a physical copy of the game to participate. You'll need one to collect the prize from Para if you win though!

If you haven't used Showdown before, hop on IRC and there will be people who can give you a hand.

e: wouldn't it make more sense not to release the replays until the end of the tournament? You don't want people knowing what to expect from your team going into the fight.
