Yeah, that's what I assumed. You clearly purposefully bid 1/3 instead of 1/6, which... I don't quite know what to make of. Mybe you know the value of the item, or put a high value on lives re: its name. I don't know.

I think Pala was shot last night and his immediate stumping has nothing to do with either his role mechanics or the blood market. Laser is super wrong for distrusting Pala's explanation of events.

Quick update: 5 hours remain until day end, we're still on track for a no lynch. A52 is also currently winning the Blood Market bids.

That said, this whole life dust thing is mighty interesting and in the interests of local security, I'd like to propose a trade; three life dusts from some keen buyer for this here life orb.

No idea what the orb does. Presumably some sort of single-use lifey thing. No backsies.

Clearly shocked by the death and strange booth, the office staff was unable to perform democratic processes, and ultimately failed to reach any consensus.

Day 1 is a nolynch.

Everyone is heading for bed in their offices when there is a scream. Some members of the staff look and find none other than A52 with their hand plunged into the blade on the Blood Market booth. After a couple minutes of struggle and A52 apparently trying to pull out their hand, they're finally released, and they fall to the floor. They look drained, as though most of their blood had been sucked out of them. However, looking at their hand, there was no wound...?

With all the excitement out of the way, that leaves only a pensive sleep, as the next day is just around the corner...

You all wake up, still confused from the events of before. But as you enter the main entryway, you see the body of Reyweld, with a slip of printed paper in monospace font.

A long description of who Reyweld follows, distilled into what follows:

Reyweld was R&D System Administrator Winston Teller, the Town-Aligned Ethereal Passive Non-killing Mass Self Redirector Self-targeting Jack-of-all-Trades Smith, or the Mass Action/Item Distributor. Reyweld's role had two primary components: the first was the Ethereal Passive Non-killing Mass Self Redirector power meant that Reyweld could only be directly targeted by killing abilities (as seemingly has happened here). Other abilities would be split across every other targetable player, with items and relevant fractions turned Ethereal and split into an equal fraction to each eligible player. The second component was the Self-targeting Jack-of-all-Trades Smith. Each night, Reyweld could create an item, and send it to a player. What they didn't know was that they were also allowed to target themselves, and the item would be evenly distributed across every eligible target (save for themselves).

The remaining living folks (and Palamedes who seems about as alive as could be, minus the living part), shaken by this murder, go to open the blinds, only to discover that the sun and its light have turned red. What this means is unclear.

Day ends in a little more than 4 days, at 9PM MST December 27. With 14 players alive, softlynch is 4 and hardlynch is 8.

Also, the Blood Market is closed today.
