You peer thru the rectangular glass window beside the door as the door itself lacks a window. You can see a woman sitting at the bedside with 2 nurses. You can't see her face or the face of the person she's visiting. You don't know how to proceed.

Seconded. Though, I am going to assume Lucia's Mom is going to stay there for the entire night, until she planned on pulling Lucia's life support.

Walking back in immediately after being kicked out seems like it makes it harder for us to convince Lucia's Mom to stay. I think Emily would make it easier to find the right approach to talk to Lucia's Mom as well, and get her to let us stay, as well as possibly (we'll see how things go, and decide if it's a good idea to even tell her) try and revive her.

Alright observers... is there anything WE know about Lucia that perhaps only her mother and Lucia would know?

Assuming Lucia's mother remembers, it would be possible for Derrick to establish himself as an old friend of Lucia's. This assumes her mother was actually aware of her social life before the incident though.
