Also, I'm not sure if this was suggested already or not, but it's worth mentioning.

You all successfully scale down the hole into the next level of tunnel networks. No one made any loud noises.
You come across a bend in the tunnel after what feels like minutes of walking through. There is a smaller tunnel to the right. It looks uncomfortable...

i feel like this is my fault, i had a suspicion those two black dots on the cave were eyes (or lack of) instead of the next bifurcation of caves on the road, i could have warned everybody, being paranoid pays off.

Y'know, given the large drop-off that is visible and which is physically required for Daesdyne to be there in that position, I don't think the next feature of note in this tunnel is a crossroads with an option to turn right. Perhaps we should try the other tunnel at the base of the stairs. Frankly I didn't think it was obvious which one was straight ahead anyway.

If what they say is true they'd probably know a good deal about navigating this place. I'd hold off on agreeing to letting them tag along until we can get Reggie to take a look at them though.

Aside from that, I say we should help them out if they're not hostile. If Ira gives them a pass having more friends is helpful. Especially considering if they've lived here for as long as they say the have they probably know a good deal about this cave.
We should be able to give them a doorway out of here, since we made a BCS door at the entrance of a cave for situations like this. That would make it more difficult for us later on though. If we do go this route we should try and get some info out of them first, see what they know is up ahead.
We can also offer Exorcism. I'd recommend offering it after we get out of the cave, since that way we'd get more help for the duration of the trip, but if we wanna offer it now I'd recommend getting some info from them first.

Try to avoid a confrontation, or delay it until we have an advantage. Sound travels, and we're not sure what it'd attract here. Maybe other monsters, maybe Daesdyne.
We can offer Emily's Exorcism as a way out of the cave and to a better place to try and head off the fight. That'd help us out a few ways if it comes to that.
If it comes to confrontation I think we should be using our silent gear and attacks that don't cause much noise, or we should try and make a smokescreen to disengage and go to another layer of darkness again.
We'll be able to have a better idea what to do once we know the situation better.
