final fantasy 14 is a playable game again

I finally beat the final boss in Tadpole Treble! Tadpole Treble is a delightful rhythm game, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Also, the music is killer, especially Thunder Creek and the final stage.

Mrs. btp cleared out her old stash 'o games from her parents' place when they moved a couple of weeks ago. We traded it in and got a PS4 with the last of us for 30 bucks. Just finished it tonight. Good Times.

Anyone else play Hearts of Iron?

Beat FFXV last night. I don't know that there's one single English word to describe it. Whenever I try to articulate it properly I end up at something near a paradox. It was enjoyable, but unsatisfying. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad, but it wasn't mediocre. It felt incomplete, but it wasn't, but also, it didn't feel incomplete, but it was. Honestly, trying to think about it stresses me out.

"A gemstone, partly cut but well polished?" "It's really good, except when it isn't?" I dunno.

Still gonna go back and beat the secret dungeons.

i have been so obsessed with hyrule warriors lately. the amount of content in this game is incredible. i only just now unlocked all weapons after sinking what must be 50 hours in the game. and im about 1/8 finished with the game? maybe?

Me and forge recently got Tabletop Simulator, but it seems like a lot of the good games are only playable with/better with more than two players. So would anyone be interested in playing some video game board games (and maybe card games i don't have a very good grasp of what is possible with this game atm) at some point?

i started a new stardew valley game when the new maps came out and binged the adventure zone while playing it

I'm on year 3 now

What are everyone's most favorite games from 2016? They don't have to have been released in 2016, just something that you only played in that year.

I'd say the ones I enjoyed the most were (in order):

The Talos Principle: Philosophical puzzle game with beautiful music. It doesn't get better than this.
FEZ: I loved the idea behind it and the atmosphere was beautiful. Unfortunately, some of the background puzzles were just a bit too obscure for me to get, and I stopped playing because of that.
Skyrim: It's Skyrim.
Dwarf Fortress: Not sure if I really enjoyed the time I spent playing this (it mostly made me angry), but I sunk so much time into it and I can't stop coming back.
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire: A great game, in the best region.

Honorable mentions:
GameMaker: Yes I know it's not really a game, but it's so much easier than building your own engine, and surprisingly versatile.
Python: Once again, not a game, but it's what got me back into programming. It's so much more fun!
Cities Skylines: I would have put this in the top five, but I didn't spend as much time in it as I should have, with how much I enjoyed it. I attribute that to starrting the Talos Principle at about the same time.

Shame (as in, I'm ashamed of how much I played these) pit of hell:
TF2: Curse you, matchmaking update!
Hearthstone: I will be happy if I never play that again in my life. It's like cocaine, but not nearly as fun and a lot more expensive. I never did spend any money on it, but the growing necessity to do so was what made me drop it.

i beat all of shantae in one night and after the mermaid boss it dropped off on horny really huge like there was the slime enemy that tries to eat shantae and shantae's non animal transformations but they all paled in comparison to giant mermaid queen titty and thats disappointing!

Majesty 2 and 100% Orange Juice are games I enjoy,,, but they can be frustrating
