Considering robottobt didn't even show up yesterday to show us their check and a whole bunch of townish people are perma-blocked

I gotta say it ain't looking great

also I'm poisoned, so that's fun. Love mafia having two kills.

Anyhow I stand by my Day 3 reasoning that shotgun cop + scientist + a one-shot day-cop item makes sense as far as investigative power goes, especially with a mafia godfather. So I do think Robust Laser's still town. Still doubt Schaz is mixmasoned, especially since the poison seems to have been doled out as a bonus mafia kill, so still town.

(bonus question: Schaz, what happened with the poison you got? Did it leave your possession w/o you giving it away? If it left, what night did it leave?)

Wheat is still town. Reyweld I think is town. Seedy and Palamedes I also think are town.

Which leaves Akumu, Pharmacy (who if Reyweld is town as I'm guessing is my bet for the scum in the grouping), nercania-orccelga, Sunspider in my 'who could be scum' list.

Wanna hear from Schaz what (and when what) happened to the poison they got poisoned by ages ago bc that's gonna change who I want to lynch.

which, now that I've finally checked my role-pm again, my blocking blocked both role actions as well as item use/give-aways that night and during the day following it. which is more powerful than I thought it was for most of the game, whoops

summary: seedy = positive feeling. dini pala sunspider = mostly positive. schazer = maybe positive. pharms = negative. reyweld = negative, but less so. wheat = unsure until relooking at info which means confident town. n-o = who is this person

wanted to figure out feelings on reyweld and wheat, found evidence support wheat be more or less confirmed town, barring additional unknown shenanigans (should be same alignment as a52, who is town). feel like reyweld might have been too quick to shove suspicion on anybody other than himself after being mentioned in my list.

looked through n-o's posting history, which gives me v little. 1 randovote for solaris, 2 votes for wheat b/c dog, 1 vote for csj ((who was maf) which initiated soft lynch), and finally one non-explanation about their role.
Like, the 'rally against dog' thing is a "this barely means anything" towards scum and the soft-lynch initiation against scum is similar in the towny direction so like. I personally feel like the scumvotes are stronger indicators than the wheatvotes but not enough to like, make me feel "Oh they're probably fine."

the only wild theory i have is that what if they set their profile to private to make people unable to tell if they're just gone forever or actually still reading the thread and participating, but quietly.

also thinking on it i'm not certain why i think pharms is more suspicious to me than reyweld so time to continue my adventures in "basically reading the entire thread, but only one person's posts at a time"

I... think it's mostly because other people were saying Pharms is suspicious? One of whom is Reyweld. And another is Dini, where the reason listed (and boy howdy am i trying to find reasons) is just "SUSPICION." The shortest entry in the list of reads of anybody alive.
Okay I'm gonna bring out quote here.

I really didn't like Mirdini for a while after CSJ flipped scum because of how much slack he was willing to cut him. That said I obviously feel worse about Robot and I have no idea why a scum Mirdini would redirect attention from CSJ to the (relatively) ignored Robot if all three were scum together.

But a scum dini trying to redirect attention from scum to a townie makes more sense here. And people were pretty down on Robot in general (and I was even like 'are you sure they flipped town' when searching through the thread) so suspicion on him in general doesn't necessarily mean much here but it's an interesting note.
And like, Pharms's posting has been... sparse, but I do think much of it may have legitimately been an "oh shit right this" thing. Which with how long it is between days sometimes, is probably reasonable. But not like, a perfect alibi.
I'm upgrading Pharms to level 'hm' and dini down to level 'hmm' for now. Which I guess now puts Reyweld at my most suspicion.

though it could be the poison is the one a52 had, in which case I'm still considering lynching Sunspider because 'giving poison to a player, stealing it back, handing it out again' seems like one heck of a way to get two mafia kills.

unless someone that's town wants to fess up to poisoning me (unless it was Granola or a52 in which case, rip) that feels like a plausible theory?

Yeah ngl while Pharms's posts have not been super townish I can read them in a way that reads 'distracted town', so I see where you're coming from. Although the line between distracted town and distracted mafia is kinda thin imo

re: suspicions on Pharms being SUSPICION that's because there really isn't much to go on re: Pharms. She really hasn't posted much until very recently (i.e. after I made that list), and what little she had posted had very little content to go off of. I don't think she's ever voted for a lynch even. Now that could be indecisive/distracted town, but it's read more to me as scared-of-commitment scum.

Not to mention that weird 'two busdrivers' thing yesterday

re: robottobt I remember wheat calling me out for spending too long entertaining robottobt's stuff on Day 3 and I replied with 'I wanted them to dig a deeper hole' and at that point that was true bc people calling me on it made me rethink how much slack I was giving them; REGRETS

Also, for what it's worth coming from me; if I was on a scumteam with CSJ, I'd have been shouting at them to cut out the buddying as soon as it started. I would not have let it keep going this long, as that's basically suicidal; when a player Role-Flips Scum, looking for the players they've been cozy with is Scum-Hunting 101. I'm not a Mafia master in the slightest, but I'm at least better than that.

Sorry if I'm repeating things that everybody already knows, I'm just trying to get on the same page.

robotobt is confirmed town scientist. They said they compared CSJ and wheat, but a52 said CSJ and a52 had been driven, so it was really a a52/wheat comparison. Either way, we know at this point that a52 and CSJ both investigate as town (town and godfather), so wheat is pretty much confirmed town.

We also know a busdriver exists, and as far as I know don't have any idea who that is. Driving town/scum could be an effort to protect town from a nightkill, or to deflect checks of the scum. But given that CSJ is godfather, and scum would know that, there'd be no reason to try to deflect checks. Busdriver is probably not mafia-aligned? I also don't understand the two busdrivers assertion.

Big question is what we do with RL's claim. We've got that at least one of RL, Mirdini, Reyweld, or Pharmacy are likely scum. Since there's a busdriver out there, can't be 100% certain. Mirdini and Reyweld have both been active and seemingly helpful players. I think the two drivers claim originated from Pharmacy, which is weird to me. Is Pharmacy a busdriver?? If so, per my previous paragraph, that would probably be a good thing.

I find it odd that the first thing out of RL's mouth today wasn't investigation results. I said previously that I thought having multiple investigative roles seemed tilted, which now that we know that robottobt was weirdly telling the truth, I guess casts doubt on RL. I'm not really feeling it, though?

I'd love to hear what RL discovered last night. For now I guess my list from most likely scum to most likely town is Pharmacy, Robust Laser, Reyweld, Mirdini. Honestly my gut says everybody but Pharmacy is town, and even Pharmacy I don't feel too negative about. I even argued above that they might be a town busdriver! So, maybe redirecting shenanigans are feeling somewhat likely?

I'll try and do a rundown of everybody a little later. Sorry if this post is a little scattered, I just wanted to make sure to get participating since I've already been poked about not paying enough attention to the game.

Akumu: Robust Laser has no check results anymore, because he got the same kind of bomb I and granola did, which permanently blocks your role unless you receive 'medical attention'. Look up 'bomb' on the item database.

Also I just realized I blocked robottobt night 3 which means they didn't have a result yesterday because I thought they were a scum busdriver. Whoops.

At a guess? With 20 players we're probably dealing with 4-5 mafia members; especially in a game as filled with items and misdirection as this one is. Would probably err on the side of 5 i.e. 25% of players - 6 or 30% feels too high, since all you'd need (assuming a completely vanilla game) is 4 straight mislynches and town would lose. 5 is more the going rate from my experience.

There could well be 5 mafia and 1 or even 2 3Ps out of 20 players though. For the record Quarantine had 28 players and 8 mafia (and 2 third parties), with a mafia:total player percentage of 28.5% - but that was with two of the mafia being lovers and a town packed with nothing but power roles. Though this game does seem to have every townie running around with a power role (that has flipped so far, at least).

Taking a bit to write this post bc I'm not at home so don't have my documents to hand but thanks to the Wayback Machine:

Quotefia had 27 players, 7 mafia (~26%). Samurai Mafia had 18 players and 4 mafia, though I probably would've gone with 5 if I ran it again, but again still less than 30%.

So worst case scenario there could be 4 mafia players left, best case 2, likeliest case 3 (maybe with a third party thrown in assuming Robotnerd likes 3Ps at all).
