The humans attack!
Vladenie uses Knock Off.
AC6: 5
The bastard overgrown shrimp sidesteps it! She beats a retreat to the front deck.
Lucian imparts some morally questionable advice in Nada's direction, before ordering Hades to put its bulk to good use.
Jack sidles on up to Corphish 4, too busy trying to maintain his piss-poor balance to stay too aware of what his team mates are up to. This definitely won't bite him in the arse shortly.
Nada does I'm not even sure, I'll give it an AC6 just for kicks
AC6: 17
Ooooook. I guess trying to pry a Pokemon's carapace open with your bare hands counts as a STR check?
Nada rolls 15. You might hear a tiny crack; more to the point that Corphish is not going anywhere before it dislodges Nada.
This is unfortunate because Sergio promptly orders Maury to fire Confusion Beams or something in the Corphish's direction. A CHA check to coerce the deckhand to help you yields no results, either.
Minnie makes a move!
AC5:16
Damage: 1d8+4+1+0-8=1.
She wrestles a knife in on one of its less-essential joints before ganking it out again.
Knives, knives everywhere.
AC5: 2
Nariman's knives fall short, which was probably for the best. Nada was obstructing his knifery pretty badly, anyway.
Now let's go! Pokemon!
Jack (the ghost) obeys Jack (the human).
AC6: 20!
Corphish 4 is sent snoozing. Not nearly as cool as being sent flying or sprawling, but hey baby steps.
Poppy Screeches!
AC4: 14
Corphish 1, 2, 3, 4, the Corphish in the water (5), and Hades' Defences dropped 2 Combat Stages!
Dirty Harry uses Low Kick!
AC2: 2
Damage: 1d10+5+10+1-8=10
That 'phish is gonna feel that if/when it wakes up.
Maury shuffles a bit closer to Sergio so he can actually see what's going on, and uses Confusion!
AC2(+3, for targeting through a hovering Beldum): 15!
Additional AC5 to not hit Nada: 8!
Damage: 2d8+6+13+1-4: 27!
Corphish 1 has fainted!
Corphish 4 attempts to wake up!
SLP16: 15
It spits a few angry sleep-bubbles, but is otherwise out for the count!
Corphish 2 is displeased with the current turn of events, and Vicegrips a bar!
AC2: 18! Critical Hit!
Damage: 4d10+16+11: 53!
The bar snaps! Corphish 2 starts doing its damnedest to shove through.
Corphish 5 charges ineffectually at the boat's side ramp again, then shoots some Bubble(s) at Poppy!
AC2: 7
Damage: 1d6+3+4+1-3= 5.
Corphish 6 glares at Poppy from the water. It's content to just give her the evils at present.
Copenhagen places a string of Stealth Rocks! He has enough foresight in his little bug brain to not run a Rock into Jack's back.
Hades performs an impressive acrobatic feat, and uses Iron Head on Corphish 4!
AC2: 1.
Oof.

Vladenie meanwhile heads on towards the dude at the southeast end of the boat, and asks if he happens to have anything that could be helpful in either bashing and/or punching things.

Okay, no, it's fine, this is salvageable, we can SCAN THIS GHASTLY
Lucian's got his priorities in the most bestest order
Lucian just sort of holds his head in his hands for a bit, before muttering something about how doesn't this just fucking figure why didn't he practice more ughhhhhhhhhh whatever.
Given that it's probably reasonable to assume most of the... uh, 'crew' is going to gangbeat Corphish 4, Luce scuttles to the northern edge of the roof. "Hades! Guard the edge of the boat! Anything makes it up here or out of that cage, Take 'em Down." (Lucian, E 2N W. Hades, 2N; if Corphish in range, move appropriately and Take Down)
And then, while it's captured and identifiable-without-advanced-optics, he scans Gastly into his 'Dex. If he can. Because battle delay, or something? Why does that even

Okay, this endeavor has not gone totally nowhere. That was a brilliant maneuver on Mister Researcher's part, gleefully thinks the guy with the overgrown crayfish stuck on his hands. Yes, Nada thinks Lucian is awesome and should earn like, ten thousand respect points and a raise, but that's just Nada.
Nada decides to toss Corphish 1 at Corphish 4 like a crabby bowling ball. Ha ha, get it? Get it? Crabby? Nevermind.

Meanwhile, Harry realizes there is a lot of rocks everywhere and apparently Nada apparently has a lobster-glove.
...
Yeah, Harry is going to kick at Corphish 4 again (Low Kick).

Sergio is clearly miffed at both the captain an his deck hand ignoring Sergio's requests. Normally he'd be a bit more persistent, but he can save that for later.
Sergio tells Maury to "give sleeping crab bad dreams". Maury, only having one attack that can do this, and the ability to read thoughts, gets the message.
Sergio then moves west towards the aft end of the boat as far as he can, hopefully lining up with corphish 3. If he can get a good shot, he tries to restrain it, otherwise he just oggles it.
Maury, meanwhile, shuffles over one space west, hands waving in the air, and silently uses confusion on corphish 4.

Minnie seizes on the Corphish's sudden opening and gives it another stabbing. If it goes down, she'll make for the port side (1E, over the Beldum, 2N, 1W) and prepare to intercept the escaping Corphish (readying Psyche!: Sucker Punch as an interrupt if possible)
"Arc dammit how'd this boat get so crowded? Where the hell'd these rocks come from?!"
Yeah she's pretty much set on not releasing Dizzy into this wet chaos.

Before he can lay into the sleeping crab at his feet Jack is interrupted by a loud cracking noise from the back of the boat. More Corphish escaping from their cage doesn't rank very highly on the list of things he thinks he needs right now.
Get a handle on that will you? Use Spite or something to stop it breaking any more bars before I've dealt with this one.
While he's distracted he also takes the opportunity to wave his pokedex in the general direction of the would-be escapee. He'd nicked it off a smaller kid when he was still young enough himself to dream of going on a Wonderful Pokemon Adventure and while he's clearly too old to entertain that notion now, the little red box can still be sort of handy for his familiar if nothing else. If he can figure out the actual names of the moves the bugger has then little Jack II can disable them up completely.
Too bad it's so uselessly slow, if only he could tell it just to not bother about shit like what it eats and what it can have sex with.
That dealt with, he returns to the task of giving sleeping beauty a good lashing. Length of chain isn't the most efficient weapon but at least it didn't cost him anything.

Hmm.
"Hmm."
When you spend all your time preparing yourself and your pokemon to control battlefields and master distance and movement, what do you do when you end up on a tiny boat with your enemies already as close as they can get?
Probably not much, really.
Nariman shifts over to Copenhagen's side, careful not to hilariously slip on bubble residue.
"Copenhagen, trap the escaping corphish in a Sand Tomb."

SpoilerQuestion about poke-world mechanics that will probably come up: How long does it take a wild fainted pokemon to wake up and what sort of hp would they have then? So lets say we cause a pokemon to faint, so we can't put it in a pokeball, but for some reason we really want it so we drag it around or lock it up and wait for it to wake up, can we lock it in a ball then? Is the rule that once you cause a pokemon to faint it will hate you so much that you'll never be able to catch it?
Just wondering what the mechanics would be for doubling or tripling this captain's catch of corphish.

SpoilerFainted Wild pokemon, for starters, wouldn't be accepted in bulk at any reputable Pokemon Centre, who probably have at least cursory monitors for monster ownership. That'd be one plausible reason Restrained Pokemon have a fee to heal at a Pokemon centre. Wilds in general will, when returned to the wild or otherwise left alone, get up in short order and travel somewhere safer to recover in their own time. Thus, fainting is more a Pokemon's way of playing possum until the clearly-insurmountable threat moves on.
Keeping a wild incarcerated post-fainting until it has to get up and go feed (or you've transported it well out of its home range) will likely not endear you to it, making hypothetical Capture checks on it really bloody difficult. Most Pokemon will be rather conspicuous to haul, too - and anybody with experience with wild Pokemon would tell you that it doesn't need to go to a Pokemon Centre, you just need to return it back to its habitat.
A Medic class could likely pick up a feat to revive fainted Wilds outside combat. If there isn't an equivalent skill for trained Pokemon already, I might homebrew one for Sergio to consider. Even then, you knocked it out in the first place so I somewhat doubt it's going to stick around and thank you. The other issue is that a Pokeball can recall a fainted Pokemon if it belongs in that ball in the first place - so clearly, some mechanical rules are also in play.
QE: Huh. Medics can only heal progressively large amounts of HP, but no mention on whether you can revive a fainted Pokemon. I don't have the PDF notes right now so Cyber help me out here, I'll need to check at what -X00% you need to start making stabilising/deaths saving throws at.

SpoilerIf a human or a Pokemon reaches -100% HP, they have to make a deaths savings throw. For Pokemon it's roll underneath twice their level on a d100, up to level 45. Past level 45 it's always roll equal or under 90. Humans are similar, except it's just on a d20, and you must roll under or equal to your own level, up to 18.

Vladenie accosts the deckhand, who is so charmed by her impassioned plea (and or Nat20 CHA check) that he immediately offers up a length of metal pipe.
Lucian has been helpfully informed that Nada is wielding a Corphish. Unless I cocked up somewhere, it would've had somewhere in the region of 20 health. Prolly not a big issue right now. Only move it had was Bubble.
Nada again leaves me scratching my head how to resolve these actions.
An initial STR check: 19+5 He manages to lift and toss the dead cray no sweat.
Unarms (Thrown) AC check 8: 3 Actually hitting what he was supposed to, however, ain't no sweat.
Damage on Hades: 1d8+4-3-9=1
Hades takes a Corphish to the indeterminate body part!
Sergio tries to get Corphish 3 in his sights, while probably being uncomfortably close to Copenhagen for Nariman's liking.
Perception check: 4+2=6
between Copenhagen, assorted rocks, and the cage bars, this is a bit much of a mission.
Minnie gets her knives in.
Short Blades AC check 6 (crossing slippery terrain penalty): 2
Or not.
Jack plugs the cage-wrecking 'phish into his Dex, then hits a defenceless sleeping Pokemon with some chainy goodness.
Chains AC check 5: 18
Damage: 1d8+4+3-8=7
Nariman gets close enough to forcibly remind Sergio to keep his hands off his Pokemon, if the situation should arise.
And now back to our scheduled Pokemon
Jack uses Spite!
AC2: 11
Corphish2's Vicegrip can no longer be used At Will!
Poppy runs circles round the rocks, then uses Knock Off.
AC6: 12
Damage: 1d12+8-8=8
Dirty Harry makes her move.
AC2: 20, Critical Hit!
Damage: (1d10+5+10-8)*2= 36 damage to the sleeping Corphish.
Corphish 4 has fainted!
Maury is at somewhat of a loose end, and just decides to rather contientously Barrier itself.
Corphish 2 marches out, the crunch of a stealth rock not halting it. It uses Body Slam on the catch holding the ramp in place.
AC2: 5
Damage: 3d12+14+11=45
The ramp falls with a splash!
The captain yells out, "What the fuck is happening back there!?"
Corphish 3 pursues its fellow prisoner, stoicly taking rocks to the face. It jumps into the water and starts sinking out of sight.
Corphish 5 scrambles up the ramp, and uses Bubble on Jack!
AC2: 1
At least it tried, right?
Copenhagen used Sand Tomb!
AC4: 8
Damage: 1d12+6+5-6=16
Corphish 2 is stuck in whirling sand!
Hades is gonna take down a foe for sure this time.
AC5: 3

Vladenie thanks the Deckhand as she equips the pipe and runs up and left back where she came from as far as she can. As she turns the corner, she sees the Corphish presumably trying to escape.
"Crap, uh, Poppy, try to block its path off, and even if you can't do that, use Night Shade on it!"
Remembering the importance of specificity, she adds "The one NOT trapped in sand!"

"For the love of- Hades, swear to Arc I will put you back in the goddamn ball if you don't get your act together!"
The Lord of Darkness just rolls her eye and prepares to use Iron Head on Corphish 2.
Lucian's not done yelling at people yet, though. "Nada, get those Corphish back in the cage! And put a crate in front of it to keep them in, or something. If anybody feels like helping, that'd be great." He thinks for a second. "Hades!" (She does as close to a grimace as a one-eyed metal arm can.) "If he manages to get them in, keep them from getting back out, would you?"
The scientist mutters something about a fat sack of useless, though it's not immediately clear to which of Nada or Hades he's referring. To avoid being one himself, Luce uses Frantic Research on Corphish 5.

"No! Pokemons not flee from Sergio!"
Sergio runs past Copenhagen, jumps ontop of the cage and fires his styler at the fleeing corphish in an attempt to coax it back to the surface.
He then calls out to Maury an directs him to move next to the fainted corphish 4. He then points at Copenhagen and tells Maury to copy Sand Tomb from the pinecone and use it on corphish 5.

Minnie moves her knife to her mouth, grabs the tarp she's standing on and lunges to net the tiny escaping Corphish. She's pretty sure she can drag it back up on her own, but Nada's help would make it a helluva lot easier.

As nobody appears to have rushed in to take his spot yet, Jack saunters two spaces North to give some of the same treatment to Corphish 5. This one isn't asleep but that shouldn't be much of a problem.
He's moving slowly because he's cool, casual and completely unfazed by danger rather than due to any sort of issue keeping his footing, obviously.
Responding to inaudible commands, the other Jack abandons his post and hovers four squares North and another four West, helping out his master by giving the Corphish he's attacking an enthusiastic Licking. Jack originally wanted him out of the way but after watching them for a while he's pretty sure the Corphish might actually be hard pressed to actually even touch his familiar, let alone kill it.
After all, they couldn't even hit him.

Vladenie heads on back into the fray.
Lucian used Frantic Research!
DC: 15+3+2>15.
Corphish 5 has 18 HP.
Sergio sails like a majestic and Zeusistically horny swan across the deck.
DC: 54. Jeez, cutting it fine. The Corphish stops its speedy descent into the blue yonder, although it's only some audio confirmation on your styler that makes it certain.
Minnie, not well-versed in the Ranger ways, and even less-versed in how quickly a Fleeing Pokemon can escape the battlefieldship, grabs a net and sprints down the ramp.
Dex check: 4+5=9
She barely avoids tripping over the net she's dragging and falling headfirst into the water.
Jack sashays on up.
AC: 4
His chain sashays on past the thing he was trying to hit.
Nada successfully equips another Corphish. The Royal Society for Protection of Cruelty to Pokemon would be up in arms right now.
Nariman just busies himself lamenting the fact there are about three humans up in the grills where the Pokemon are supposed to be.
Seriously dudes how even are your Pokemon gonna get in there and do anything
The aforementioned
Jack moves in a way that lets him attack Corphish 5 without hovering two metres above the deck.
AC2: 15.
Damage: 1d6+3+2-8+1=1.
Corphish 5 took 1 damage, and is paralyzed!
Poppy can't really see a way round the mess of Pokemon and people. She just hits the required 'phish with Night Shade from where she is.
AC2: 3.
Corphish 5 took 8 damage!
Harry is similarly stymied by an undead (as in not-dead) Jack. She just gently headbutts him in the back of the legs in irritation.
DC 12: 13-4.
Jack the Human falls over! Jack's face took five points of damage!
Maury shuffles on up, then copies Copenhagen's Sand Tomb!
AC4: 17.
Corphish 5 is Trapped in a whirling vortex!
Corphish 3 looks mightily upset as Sergio coaxes it back to the surface, but can't do much about it.
Corphish 2 took 1d12 damage from Sandstorm!
Corphish 2 took 3 damage!
Corphish 2 fainted!
Corphish 5 took 1d12 damage from Sandstorm!
Corphish 5 took 9 damage!
Corphish 5 fainted!
The battle is over!
Maury, Jack, Copenhagen, Hades, and Poppy earn 600 EXP.
Dirty Harry earns 720 EXP.
Please adjust your stat sheets accordingly.

-How to keep a schedule (haha who are we kidding like I had any idea in the first place)
-Restrain mechanics
-Minnie's Combat Focus
-Minnie's juggler-pertaining skills, even though she didn't throw many things
-Keeping accurate notes of the wild 'mons' levels and stat changes and junk
-All the bits that went into damage calculation pretty much every five minutes when I was updating
-STAB about half the time
-Giving EXP drops after defeated enemies instead of one lump sum at the end (unless you guys are all right with that)
-Frantic Research gives Level at better than 15, hitpoints at better than 20
-Probably like nine other things, remind me and maybe I'll remember next time
Updated mechanics:
Trainers and Pokemon may move through a square occupied by an ally (and may share a square if terrain necessitate and the Pokemon is sufficiently small). You cannot land on a square already occupied by an ally. You still cannot move through a square occupied by an enemy.
Diagonal movement is still two metres of movement, but two diagonal movements count as three metres instead of four (same as Cyber's rules)

Vladenie runs towards the fray, pipe overhead, before stopping as she realized the battle ended. Aw.
On the plus side, she got a sweet length of pipe out of all this. And Poppy got stronger! She'll have more chances to thwack things in the future, surely.
"Well, that certainly could have gone worse. Kinda made me hungry, actually. Corphish are really tasty."

Minnie scoops up the tiny Corphish with her tarp/net, completely oblivious to the restraining or to why it stopped fleeing.
"Ha! Got 'em! And those kids're always complaining about how hard it is to catch pokemon!"
...is what she would be saying if her mouth weren't full of knife. Realizing this, she sheathes it, lugs the net over her shoulder and hauls it back onto the ship.
"You gonna behave for us now right? You don't wanna end up like your pals did."

Lucian mutters about how things certainly could have gone much better as he clambers down the ladder. A cursory glance of the ex-battlefield at sea-level leaves him no happier than when he could see it from above. But since he's down here, he might as well log that Mr. Mime in his 'Dex.
"Alright, show's over. Get the deck cleared up; it wasn't this messy when we disembarked," pointed stare at Nada, "and I'd rather not risk anyone falling overboard," pointed stare at Jack, "or being otherwise injured," stoop to pick up a dull kunai, "thanks to needless detritus." Idle inspection of knife, pointed stare at Nariman. Pointed glare at Nada for good measure.
Hades hovers sullenly over to the good(?) doctor, trying her damnedest to implicate her innocence from his dickishness.

Jack hauls himself to his feet and spits out grit, leaning up against the empty cage. With a wave of one hand, he makes an attempt to suspend Harry upside down in the air, floating about level with his own head.
"Control your pets, hey? I don't even know whose thing this guy is but it ain't what I call well trained."
He glares at it in an attempt to figure out what the hell it is even supposed to be, some kind of tiny man with a tail? At least upside down it doesn't have to keep pulling its pants up.
"You ask me someone should shove those crabs into this box before they get feisty again. Way I see it, he had two and now he's got four so that pays for any damages.
Hell, these ones look tougher than the ones in his cage anyway he should pay us extra.
Stop using them as gloves though man that's just not natural."
