I was about to say "that looks like a good bass for metal," since I've noticed that saying that is considered clever in the internet bass community.

As for my bass, I've had it for less than a year, and I'm not even worrying about how good or not good it is at this point, I'm just glad I'm still making good progress with technique.

My friend bought this old cheap Yamaha FM synth some months ago and even though my musical knowledge is extremely limited i've been having a lot of fun with it!

I loved having a keyboard, it got me learning before I saved up for my bass.

Also, I only just found out that the demo it plays, and we loved to jam to when we were little kids, is actually a Rick Astley song. So, in a way, when we would sneak it and start the demo while my dad was trying to sleep, we were totally rick-rolling him. And this was like 1992, baby!
