Skyport: A tale of Ships and Skies

A young man by the name of John Inhalten sits in one of many Skyports across the world waiting for an airship to pick him up. Unfortunately, cloudy weather has delayed most airships, including his own. He is currently on a journey to deliver a magical sword to the Hero of Destiny on a floating island on the other side of the planet. The sword, as well as your own personal belongings, are in your Inventory. What will you he to pass the time?

You have The Hero's Sword, your own sword, 300 coins, a First Aid Kit, your Tickets, a Pillow, and some Food.

Only one constellation catches your eye tonight. It is called the Knight of Goldport, but many simply call it the hero. The legend of the Knight of Goldport is one of the earliest heroic legends of the world, and easily the longest lived. He was the first man to truly rise to greatness and save the world from countless threats. The legend says that the gods didn't see it fit to simply let him fade from the world, and they gave him a place in the sky with them instead.

Regardless, it's starting to get chilly out here.

Guy A: Apparently the whole place was destroyed by some sort of darkness.
Guy A: Some people are already suspecting that The Hero's been reincarnated to fight back the darkness.
Guy B: Well I certainly hope he shows up and saves the world with that fancy magic sword of his.

Well that's certainly worrying.

Based on this sheet, which seems to have been printed within the hour, air travel is currently on hold while everyone deals with rescuing people from the ruins of altborough. Well shit.

Cleo: Early in the life of the world were The Original Hero, the Knight of Goldport, and the Original Darkness, Nolbrag. Nolbrag desired to eat the world and cast it into darkness. Standing in his way was The Hero and his companions. The Hero slew Nolbrag and sealed the darkness away. Somehow, the big players of the original conflict have been reborn. You are the resurrection of the hero, so naturally its your job to slay Nolbrag Again.

Try to order a sword on amazon. If fate is controlling all your destiny or whatever, than a magic freekin sword will get to you by whatever means it has to, so maybe you can expedite it by collecting random swords as fast as you can.
